I was enjoying this drama at times. The overall story was intriguing. However, I have decided to drop it. The ML has very flat acting and the side stories are nothing more than irritating. I usually dislike palace political crap in shows but this is worse by a good margin than most. I found myself fast forwarding through a lot of scenes regarding the empress. Sigh..I feel like this had a lot of potential. I really enjoyed the premise of a bandit being forced to marry the crown prince. Too bad it was bogged down by poor side plot points.

I have only watched one episode of this so far and combined with the synopsis I am torn if I actually want to watch this. I like both main FL actresses a lot. Both Yang Zi and Zoey Meng are incredibly talented. However, I was already slightly biased coming in because I have never been a fan of Cheng Yi. That aside... Episode 1 had things happening that were already ticking me off story wise with some of the characters. And that combined with the synopsi I read (is synopsi plural of synopsis? lol) made me feel like I would have a lot of "want to throw my remote at the tv moments" in this show. That is ok once in a while. Chinese dramas are great at truly making you hate certain characters. But if I constantly am going to find myself yelling at the screen because of either stupidity in characters or because of constant drama created through misunderstandings then I'm not sure I will like it.

This is very confusing. The name change to Chinese Paladin "season 6" doesn't make sense. "Season" 4 starring Ju Jing Yi also comes out in 2023 but "Season 5" was released in 2016. They should have stuck with the old name. The star power is enough to drive people to watch the show. You don't need to connect it to a franchise like Chinese Paladin when it likely has nothing to do with the games.

Go Yoon Jung voices the character... so your familiarity has betrayed you.

I take it you havent watched episode 2 yet at time of writing this comment...because it is explained. Both part 1 and part 2 it is naksu's soul in buyeon's body.

She will bring rain without JBY power. Naksu is translated as "falling water"

2 episodes in! What a banger of a second episode. Go Yoon Jung is incredibly charming in this. She pulls off the role excellently. The chemistry between the ML and FL is incredible. I was worried about the cliff hanger at the end cutting a bit sooner then it did...I was on the edge of my seat about to be very mad. But they pushed it slightly to give a little bit of closure to the scene but still hanged us right off that cliff. Was excellent writing.

Who considers anything cheating?? You can't cheat on a dead person... literally the meaning of "till death do we part". It has been 3 years...mourning period is over.

That is exactly what part 1 was...why would they change their formula for part 2

What do you mean it was supposed to be Naksu's body with Bu-Yeon's soul? That was never going to be a thing. It was always going to be Naksu's soul in the body. Today we had confirmation that the body is in fact Bu-Yeon's

Whenever Mudeok thought to herself which was quite frequently it was Naksu/Choyeong. Her external speaking voice was done by Jung So Min. But her internal speaking voice was Go Yoon Jung.

You might want to rewatch part one again. We don't know who her mother was only her father. It is stated that Naksu was one of the most powerful mages in history. I'm talking about her power before she used AoS. So before Bu-Yeon. Why was she capable of that level of power?

priestess' power? nah...they will need Naksu not Bu-Yeon. Naksu means "falling water".

She isn't new. She portrayed Naksu from episode 1 all the way to 20 in part 1. She occasionally portrayed her in flashbacks as well as episode 1. But she primarily was the voice of Naksu's inner thoughts throughout the entirety of the season. Every time Mudeok thought to herself it was Go Yoon Jung. Plus she is a great actress and not new to acting at all.

That's because the voice is the same... Go Yoon Jung voiced Naksu in all inner monologues (which were a lot) during part 1 for Naksu. It feels similar because it has been her voice all along. We just now get the face to go along with it.

I wont spoil in case you didnt read the synopsis for episode 2 but he has a condition for saying yes which she can't fulfill.

Go Yoon Jung looks only but not acting??? Hahaa...watch again. Her acting is phenomenal. She portrays so much emotion in the role. And her voice has always been the voice of Naksu throughout part 1. A lot of Mudeok's humour in part one was done via her inner monologues. Those inner monologues were all Go Yoon Jung.
