Your on the right ship :)Honestly, I believe the Ep. 1 the amount of HJP screen time in the earlier episodes and…
The Cyrano original story is so beautiful. I wished we would have had a DM in love with a guy's soul. A DM confused because she doesn't understand how someone who is not DS is so similar to the DS from the letters. A DM that rejects both guys when she discovers the truth and decide by herself who she wants to be with. A DM that ultimately decides to fall in love again with HJP's soul. A love that is based on understanding each other that is able to endure time and hardships. Man, we missed our chance to have a masterpiece.
It will never make sense to me how she "fell in love" with the real DS in the drama. She thought he was another guy, days later he goes to US and she is stuck to loving him? Why? Because he had big hands? She didn't even have the time to process who is who. And she looked like she chose him in the end for her career. And she really didn't find any reason why she likes him? When we fall in love we fall for reasons, for chemistry that is born from sharing values. Toxic. Toxic. Toxic. Period
I too believe that the ending was different. Too many things that were left untold. The last 4 episodes were changed…
Yess!! It gave me the Jane Austen vibe, and with a Startup theme would have been such a beautiful romantic story. Ain't gonna lie, it would have been my fav drama for all times.
Simping for KSH too. The only thing good out of this mess is his earned fame. Such a versatile actor. His portrayal of HJP is so far from his personality and other drama characters he played that I was so shocked the first time I saw him. Truly hard working, glad he won from this mess. And also knowing how well he understands his characters, I doubt he will choose a bad script in the future
My fellow Seon Ho stans, please keep your fingers crossed for me! Ticketing for his play starts next Tuesday and…
I'm asking a really selfish question here, but for how long is he going to perform in the theater? I kinda wish he would choose another drama. I want to see him but also I think it would be great for him to take advantage of the fame he gained before people forgets.

This "theory" will be confirmed if the writer doesn't work with Suzy again (I mean, if it's her agency fault that the writer's work/masterpiece of 2 years got shattered like this, I'm sure Suzy won't be her muse anymore) or if she decides to work with Kim Seon Ho (who wouldn't want to, the guy is natural born actor). Or if she does a pre-produced drama next time, so nobody can touch the script. We'll see.
PS: The writer really loved HJP's character. I was afraid she would make him into a jealous crazy guy to make DS look better in comparison, but she decided to hold onto him till last moment (she dropped a little the ball in the elevator scene, but she needed "a reason" why DM would choose DS). HJP is one of the most beautiful portrayal of Cyrano. I'm grieving over a the lost potential and knowing how could have been the story, it hurts
I dont think the writer is intelligent enough for these aspects of symbolism, character analysis and consistency…
It was a different ending. The colors are in the character chart, we can't lie our way out of it. I'm sorry for the writer, I really wanted to watch the true story, because DS and DM endgame was impossible to be made believable. She is a quite good writer that made Dream High, which tells me she is not shy about making the FL end with the SL. HJPs main lead alike character, the deep issues that she treated the first episodes (the imposter syndrome, expectations), the symbolism (like the women that talked about the ancestors) were too prepared to not hint anything. The fact that HJP and DM got each other (despite being told DM and DS got each other, like where?). The ML is HJP, the story revolves around him
Ugh it's killing me. I really want to know what PHR was planning before she had to change the ending. I'm still…
I too believe that the ending was different. Too many things that were left untold. The last 4 episodes were changed for sure (KSH filmed scenes from 8 and 12 episodes the same day so I would say the script was still the same, hence it explains why KSH mention a possible plot twist which we didn't get). Also, in terms of management, I saw Google Trends data and around episode 5, HJP/KSH (both character and actor) were way more searched/popular than DS/actor (DM and Suzy's were always way lower) in english and korean. I can imagine if you have a star that actually has to promote another film afterwards, the fact that the SL is shadowing the ML would worry you and maybe they asked to change the script (just imagine it, a jidal endgame would mean the first lead get relegated to a second lead which is shameful in the eyes of people: why would an actor as famous as him accept a second lead?). This is the only thing that would explain why the DS character never gets redemption: we expected him to find his dream because it was mentioned and all pointed that way, but it never happened. The same way the writer made us forget it was HJP that saved Noongil (saying DS met the investor). There were too many things that were out of character. DS's change of character: he is completly different from how he was the first episodes, DM's lack of personality and feelings (i explected that in the end we would finally see her point of view and feelings).
Another things that could prove Jidal endgame were the symbolisms and the fact that the writer's way of portraying the ML is more similar to HJP. Also the story revolves around HJP. He even got the revenge plot (why would they give it to him if he wasn't important?). But yeah, in the end (13-16 eps) we got a butchered HJP character, a DS with a over confident character (i liked a lot his dorky side from the firsts episodes), a DM that can't succeed without a man (the writer characters are usually more feminists), the "sailing without a map" analogy that HJP gets the firsts episodes but forgets the last ones (also him getting angry at that was way out of character), a DM that says to HJP "why are you avoiding me" and the next scene they are together (she bumps into him) she says "you're not ignoring me anymore". Also how they closed the letter thing. For me DM and DS were never meant to be together romanticly. DS was supposed to have a growth moment realizing he cannot have a person as his dream (he kinda did it episode 13 and 14, just before going al reverse mode). I mean, nothing make sense unless there was a HJP/DM endgame, and DS/DM working together. Even the posters show it, and the posters are full of symbolism (like the golden spoon). The writer loves symbolism, I don't believe was misdirection.
