I find them annoying when they do things with the second lead that would make them jealous if their partner did it with another man or woman. Really? Is it so hard to put yourself in someone else’s shoes?

Never watch Color of a Woman. The leads spend 90% of their time with the second leads. Worst ever. This one, there’s not a lot of flirting before they get together because of the way the comedy works. There’s tension at first as there always is, but it’s clumsily handled with no veiled interest or sense they are a match for one another. Later there’s loads of denial, so until they get together there’s not much room for flirting. Once they do get together it all changes.
No break ups? That sounds very good! I did learn that the main leads get together around episode 22, but how is…
It’s clear he likes her before they get together and some of the humor is watching him not even be aware he likes her in moments like the one where he blurts out “because I worry about you.” And even after that he still doesn’t realize he likes her. His lack of self-awareness is comical. She is in complete denial that someone as outstanding as him could like her to the point she finds the most rediculous alternate explanations for even the most obvious act of interest. Her imperviousness makes flirting nearly impossible, but it’s still fun to watch. After they get together he’s the ideal boyfriend.
Agree. I like zhang ruo nan. But not this drama. Prefer her another drama "love is panacea"
I loved her in Love Is All-because she was so far over the top. I like her in this one. Humor can be tricky. I think some of the criticism here was because the humor utterly failed for a lot of people, to the point they didn’t see it was a comedy,
ok judge me all you want but I think they are cuties 😍 ☺️ 😳 😊 I think I'm for the cringe stuff 😬…
I agree. I think a lot of the comments seem to approach this as if it’s a serious piece of cinematic art making serious comments on society rather than a silly comedy built on over-exaggerated characters. It’s like complaining that the actors in Dumb and Dumber were stupid or bad male role models. Yes they were … it’s called humor.
... (in using her brain! EP14 she goes to the assistant of the molester thinking the molester wouldn't be there…
I did find it incredible that she wouldn’t have picked up on the serial sexual harassment of that client. Not because she smart or educated, but because virtually all women are exposed to men and pick up very very quickly when someone is a creep.
I have actors and actresses I don’t like and I can’t really put a finger on why. I love the FLs acting in this, but I like silliness. Some might find it over the top.
I wanted to watch this after reading the synopsis, but y'all comments made me drop it... Cause I truly can't stand…
I never saw her as dumb. In the first scene, she outsmarted the big shot lawyer getting into the apartment first and laying legal claim to it. How is that dumb?
it’s was interesting from the beginning but they both were getting on my nerves the fact that he being old but…
Humor does depend on exaggeration quite a bit. The leads were awkward to the point of childishness to create humor. If it didn’t make you laugh, I can see that.
I have at first really disliked FL, because of how naive she was (c’mon, we all know college graduates are people…
I think the idea was it’s supposed to be light humor. I found myself laughing out loud in almost every episode. If you didn’t find it humorous then I suppose it would be pretty boring.
Watched this one for Zhong Rou Nan. I loved her zaniness in Love Is All. I’m only on episode 23, but so far I haven’t been disappointed. The rest of the cast are great too, particularly the best friend, the mom and some of the office crew, There are so many laugh out loud moments.
I’ll be honest, I’ve inky seen a few episodes in the middle while someone else was watching it. What I saw made me fully understand the comments on lack of chemistry. What I saw was a show that spent literally 95% of its time building chemistry between the female lead and second male lead and to a lesser extent between the male lead and second female lead. In particular between the female lead and second male lead we got all the camaraderie, friendship, sincerity, cuteness, teasing, heartfelt moments, hugs, dating, drinking, wanting to spend time together,, laughter and tears, longing and attention. How can you feel the female lead was meant to be with the male lead when they didn’t have any screen time together. More than that, you have to have them enjoy the company of each other to a deeper and more profound level than with the second leads. From what little I saw, it seemed like they were trying to give you all these great moments with the idea the female lead was doing them with the wrong guy, but instead it felt like the male lead was the wrong guy and her attraction to him merely theoretical.
morally grey FL's are nothing new to Kdramas. There are many Kdramas with similar kind of FL.What we never get…
I’m watching Only For Love now. It’s a Chinese Drama. The the narrative changes enough to make it hard to pin down, but ostensibly , the FL sets out to make the ML fall for her so she can get even because she mistakenly believes his niece stole her boyfriend. Trying to get even that way seems pretty morally grey to me. Aside from that, Vincenzo and The Fiery Priest, though neither are romantic in the least, but I Am Not A Robot is.

Morally grey characters are as old as storytelling. Few protagonists in Greek tragedies were remotely nice people. Heck even Odysseus returned home to butcher a room full of his wife’s suitors, with the help of the goddess Athena, who was all in for the carnage.
It is quite noticeable that many kdramas have characters that slant towards female audiences. In a few fairly popular ones, every single relationship problem is the man’s fault. I guess I’m not supposed to notice that. I have to admit though, it rarely dampens my enjoyment of them much. If it’s well written and well acted it’s all good.
However, whether male or female, there’s a point where the acts are so repugnant you loose the audience. People might be dropping this one because they don’t feel the FL deserves redemption.
I summed up my opinion below. The ending was a big nothing, as a result, the whole thing just kind of fizzled out at a point where you're expecting it to be at its most dramatic.

I nhavent seen the scene, but I concur. I see it all the time. Not everything is social commentary. Not every scene has to be politically correct or portray everything in a socially acceptable way, We are all individuals and the ability to poke fun at ourselves and not take ourselves so seriously should be treasured.
