I liked the first episode and I'm cautiously optimistic about the drama, mainly because it's based on a novel,…
Yeah, I agree as well. The hidden connection is cliche. And the way the characters acted and how the scenes progressed (and the posters), it was apparent that she was going to commit suicide, I am just going to think of this a prologue to the main story. Since her suicide does not connect with anything else yet, unless they decide to have a backstory where she saw something she wasn't supposed to see and got murdered like what yoona's character says in the preview (optimistic thinking xD).
I was curious after watching the episodes. I'm not aware about bullying in Korean schools, but here kids talk…
Not sure about what actually happens in Korea, but in manhwa (web comics), bullying is very severe and that is mostly overlooked by authorities due to keeping their school's good name or the kids have influential parents.
Part of me wishes that NGM really is the killer, that would make things a lot more interesting and tbh i wouldn't…
Me too, things would be really good if NGM was the killer, and he is looking for the people from the foundation (the village I think). But it might be also the other guy who NGM couldn't draw a picture of.
Is it just me or is it pure nonsense that Lee Yeon or any character in this drama didn't even attempt to do something about the suggestion power of Imoogi? They experienced it first hand with Lee Rang being almost killed by Yu Ri. But then it is all forgotten until, it is time for Lee Yeon to help the granny. What were they expecting the imoogi to not use this convenient power?
I think SH is the first female lead then Chungah. The focus might change to Seohyuns character in later episodes.…
I think she would not have much significance unless it turns out she is either one of those kids from the white night village (hope the name is correct) or she is a second gen kid since her father seems to be involved with white night village incident (the foundation). Otherwise she has the common setup of SFL, with her having a crush on the ML and her father being one of those bad guys who did bad things to the ML.
All the victims of the forewarned murders looked at the time before they died (committed suicide)
'I am standing on an empty road all by myself. The sun is shining brightly. And the clock that's never wrong says it's 12. Then I wonder to myself. "Is it noon or midnight?"'.
So I am thinking it might have to do with a specific time. Kim Young Joon fell from the building after he saw that the time was 11:30 am. The party host dived into the pool after he saw that the time was 11 am. The image on Park Kyu Tae's watch when he died was the same as the image when he beat his brother. I am thinking it might be a sun in that image so let's just say that he died at the same time as his brother. The Professor Choi Yong Suk died after seeing that the time was 3:31 am.
This is where my reasoning ends, and the rest is just speculation.
The common thing about these times is that they are not the correct time. Kim Young Joon died in the night but the time says 11:30 am, the same for the party host, 11 am while the party was happening during the night. The professor died during daylight but the time says 3:31 am. But what actually coincides with these times is when they committed the crime. Kim Young Joon committed the crime during daylight as sunlight was shining through the windows. The professor also chased that girl during the night. So I think that they died during the opposite time like am became pm, because in the quote it says the sun is shining but he still wonders whether it is noon or midnight. So the time is the same only the day (am) or night (pm) is switched.
But this does not fit the party host since his crime most likely took place in the night and Park Kyu Tae's time is not clear. Might be me overthinking this.
And from the previews I assume that those surviving kids are the ones killing the criminals as it seems the people from the fooundatiion wants to keep these murders under wraps and also there was an attempt to steal their slush funds, which I am also assuming is the work of those kids. I am sure that the kid who came for the photo of the Kim Young Joon's victim is one of those kids who underwent those experiments since he was shown in parallel to the description of drug addicts.
I haven't read the web comic but the actors, especially Byung Kyoo and Joon Sang, gives a very similar vibe to characters in comics. And the pacing of the story is fast and I am loving the action scenes here. It is much better than expected.
If you are planning to watch for the start up (business) then don't. Saw a lot of people being disappointed due to this. If you are more into the love triangle and melodrama then go ahead.
Is it bad that I thought the best part of this entire series was the sizzling chemistry between Sophia and Edward?…
I was not that keen on Sophia and Edward couple but during the last episodes, they became the best for me. Really sad that it was very short but at least they kept the two alive and together at the end (after that out of nowhere gunshot)
Me too as a CS MSc student was so excited in the beginning!
I was also excited about this due to the name being Start Up and having a good cast. But sadly, I am only reading comments (to see HJP happy ending) here and not watching it because of the sole focus on romance.
But I am looking forward to how the story goes.

It is as confusing as the last scene of the final episode
