I'm sorry. I see that so many of you love this drama. I started watching this and could not believe this old actress was playing a childish young princess. The men looked younger than her. And I find out I am right. They are 4 years younger. There so many younger actresses that should have gotten this role.
It's all in the ratings. If they don't like it, they will not watch. If they don't watch, then other fictional historical dramas will not be produced. And we will all lose out on the imaginative fictional stories written around historical events and times.
This series is everything we want from a drama. I cannot believe that it is only available on ODC. VIKI and Amazon Prime and Netflix all missed the boat on this one. It would lure in even the most hesitant of viewers. Those little words at the bottom of the films keep them away from some of the best productions made in the world. I was very reluctant to see my first foreign film in 1967. A Man and A Woman. It was a lesson. Dubbing sucks. I once thought that would bring viewers to international films. But dubbing is too distracting and you can't get the feel of the actors emotions with dubbed shows. I know the Chinese dramas are dubbed. That was disappointing to begin to hear the same voices over and over. Even without understanding the language we can differentiate between actors voices.
Just when I think they have run out of outside of the box stories this drama wakes me up.vand makes me think. damn it makes me think. this is not mindless drivelly fun. This is serious stuff. The writers are playing with our heads. Play with me more!! how many times will we change our minds on who is the killer. Now i think there are at least 3 killers..
Every time I see any photo of the actress, her face, specially eyes and forehead and jaw line has similarities…
Really? But song joong ki is a terrible actress. She's just a pretty model. If she didnt have great leading men, she would have been left behind a long time ago.
Na In Woo has done fine acting as On Dal. Better than Ji Soo. This is a very good decision for the future viewing of the shows. We all watch shows months and years after they were made. Long after the scandal is forgotten this show will be remembered for its own merits. The money spent on redoing scenes will be gained back when it is licensed
I have to say it. I loved the second leads much much more than the main characters. I would have dropped the series if it had not been for them. I could have napped through it. Kang Tae Oh and Soo Young were worth a series of their own.
I'm not sure how I should rate the film because my problem is with the dubbing AND the subtitles. The dubbing doesn't match. It is way off and obviously not what the actors are saying. Which might be why the English subtitles are difficult to navigate. The story is unattractive and unsympathetic. But I could only watch about 20 minutes before I had to give it up.
I've watched the film a few times. The little boy who she found dead in the mud was not really her son. She looked at his toes and he had all his toenails. Her son was born missing a toe nail on his little toe. The end puts us 2 years later. While driving, she is on the phone with the younger boy she did rescue. He is now her son. He tells her in a phone call that he dreamed of her boy and they will meet again. She finds him at the Orphanage.
terrible. terrible. the only positive thing I can say is that Nam Joo Hyuk 's acting has improved. He's only half as bad now. I did watch it to the end. I shouldn't have. Kim Seon Ho was the best part of the series.
