The adaptation had the perfect chance to let the second gay lovebirds chug along and offer Hee Su a helping hand (or a friendly shove) on his journey. Seeing another gay couple from his class living their best lives would be a wake-up call

The story would've been more painful and powerful for you if the "straight" identifying male character and the gay male character struggled with unrequited feelings, and neither found resolution in a relationship
