It's not the same. Yoo Jung had NO power. If she decided to betray Gye Won, at worst it would get her and him…
But you are missing the whole Queen Dowager component. He was ready to go to the suburbs and retire. Had she followed him Lee Tae doesn’t enact his scheme, the Queen Dowager refused to leave and give up her power. Gye Won can be the good guy at that point all he wants but the monster he created in the Queen Dowager was now out of control and he’ll bent on maintaining her power, which the new queen was a direct threat to, this isn’t about how compromising GY was, it’s that his monster wouldn’t compromise so Lee Tae had to do something.

He had to find a way to depose her especially after she tried to kill his new queen. Exactly what was he supposed to do? nothing??? He had no way to bring her to justice. His plan was intelligent because it allowed him to see who would remain loyal to him and who would betray him.
Hypocrisy……LeeTae tested and provoked Queen Dowager like howCouncillor Park tested and provoked Consort Park……Both…
And the people who died died because they refused to listen to the plan and made their own choices putting them in danger. Siwol died because he came back. The maid died because Yoo Jeong sent her out with the letter. Those deaths aren’t on the King sorry
Can’t believe ppl are blaming Lee Tae as being stupid for putting that plan to action….That’s how chess…
My issue is Yoo Jeong is being a little too self righteous. Her friend died in part because she sent her into the lions den. Lee Tae’s plan was setup before her arrival and he never wanted them involved and begged her to leave. She insisted on staying, allowed her friend to stay and even spy, it’s not his fault she died. It’s the concubines fault and her own fault!
In my head there is another version of this story where it’s Gye Won & Yoo Jeong who were in love trying to battle a tyrant king that I would have loved to watch lol
1) The King as a crown prince spilled in front of the eunuchs, about his father's plan to bring sarim, leading…
hmmmmmm I don’t know about that. Tae is trying to clear Jung’s fathers name as a traitor so that she can live as herself instead of a traitors daughter as well as bring the Scholars back into having a bigger role in the government. he absolutely has noble intentions for why he is doing what he is doing. GY way prevents the clearing of the Sarim as traitors.
My theory. Jang Gang (Jang Uk's father) died in the king's body because the king's body was too weak for him to…
I like this theory but if it were true there would be no reason for them to have made public that she slept with someone else. The only way it makes sense that it was public that she had an affair is if the baby is not original Jangs baby.

They should make a new category called fusion or Koreans need an equivalent word for wuxia & Xianxia so people don’t freak out nitpicking historical stuff when the only thing historical are that there are royalty and costumes lol

in an interview the director said it is a fantasy world that doesn’t exist that has fusion elements of historical and modern styling and themes. He said he mixed historical inspired clothing with more modern styled hair etc…… so it’s basically a fusion drama.
this is strangely modern for a historical drama from the way they talk and the hairstyles idk if that was intentional…
The director said in an interview that this fusion of modern/historical was very intentional. This is a fantasy drama built in a place that doesn’t exist and he wanted to mix in a lot of modern elements.
1. Yes Danju raised Naksu to be an assassin but he was probably also behind her family being killed 2. Yes Danju…
The King said it is supposed to go to the head Mage Jang. Jang Wook would have been given it if he was there at the time, since he wasn’t there Jim Mu was able to request it but once Jang Wook showed up by their rules Jang Wook gets to take it.
Some questions regarding the new episodeSo Danju is the one who raised Naksu and taught her everything . Is he…
1. Yes Danju raised Naksu to be an assassin but he was probably also behind her family being killed 2. Yes Danju is Jin Mu 3. He *had* to give him the sword because Jang Wooks Dad is the head Mage and Jang Wook is his heir and essentially in order of command he takes possession if his father isn’t there. Jin Mu had no legitimate reason he could keep the sword from a Jang Family member. 4. My guess is that he wants her dead because 1. She may now know he is Jin Mu which no one is supposed to know and 2. Soul shifter usually cannot survive in their new bodies so he may think she useless in her new body…. This one is definitely still iffy.
I know....I am quite surprised by Lee Jae Wook's acting, he has improved a lot since extraordinary you. His acting…
Right???? Like he is amazing in any role he tackles. I’m so happy they cast him on this project. And Jung So Min is my absolute favorite ever since The Smile has left your eyes. These two are everything on screen together.
So I don’t think Tae is less worthy than GY.
