Is it good? I don't know why I can't seem to like the actress.
Well, it was really good for me but I like the actress so maybe it's not for you. I know it because it happens to me too, I never watch a drama if a don't like the actors. Anyway, I can tell you that what I liked so much about it is that if I'm watching what's supposed to be a story with star crossed lovers and lots of obstacles and problems, I want it to be melodramatic all the way and this drama accomplished that. Plus the actors were really good showing the feelings, the sadness, the longing and the love.
Just watched 2 episodes because it was so unreal it hurt. Cringe. I wanted to like it because I'm a fan of a good revenge plot but so many stupid scenes from the beginning were just to much. I know they must've need to portrait the villains as evil but their lines? "just die already" "you are going to die anyway. Why are you so selfish?" really?? Haha And the main couple? More cringe. The ML appearing all of a sudden everytime the FL was about to fall (because it seems she can't walk properly) and the slow motion and the long worried stare... Vintage and not in a good nostalgic way.
I loved it. A lot. The end reminded me of two other dramas that I love because they're relatable and fresh. The best part of this drama was the cast and their chemistry. It was really easy to feel the wholesome and honest relationship between the families and friends. And of course the main couple was the absolute star in regards to chemistry. Somin and Haein should definitely work together again because their romance seems genuine and real.
I'm so tired of people complaining about Seok Ryu's character. Selfish!? If you think that way you must be the kind of person that can only understand flat, one-dimensional characters and leads with total lack of depth.
So now the debate seems to be if the kiss was good enough or not. "Is Somin a good kisser or she needs to open her mouth more?" I'm not gonna lie... I always expect more from the kissing scenes. But the thruth is we're watching kdramas! And they are different and don't show too much. So that's it. That being said, I thought the bedroom scene was really passionate. Probably because Haein is too hot. 🤷🏼♀️
This time I just came to say that I can't phadom how is it that some people see no chemistry between the leads. I understand if you don't like the story, if you think it's boring, even if you dislike the actors... It's just not the drama for you and I get it. But to say the problem is the lack of chemistry! How is it possible to not see the love and complicity between them!?
I never saw the BTS of my father is strange, but Somin has always been this cheerful with her costars, do you…
To be honest, I do see or sense something different. It's true she's always playful and funny with her costars but I remember that in MFIS it was quite easy to see the difference in her manners and looks towards Lee Joon. And this time, even before rumors started, I remember thinking she was all happy and glowing in a different way around her co star. Also, even though I haven't seen much of Haein before, they just seem to click in a special way and that's really noticeable.
I was watching interviews and bts of Somin and Haein and it suddenly reminded me of 2017 and "My father is strange"... If that's what's going on, I'm so ready for it ❤️😉 sorry not sorry
And again... It's working for me. I mean, they have to throw a romantic gesture so they go with the stars on the ceiling. I'm in. ♥️ And I have to admit it's being so difficult to resist JHI sad/good boy eyes.
well you haven't sen like the 4 or 5 dramas this year with this same kind of plot, but let's see what they bring…
Yes, for sure! But the thing is that in terms of plot, I'm used to the similarities in kdramas (I think we all are). It's not so easy to find originality all the time. I guess what gets my interest nowadays is the combination between the cast and the way in which the writing achieves to present usual situations with a twist that makes it feel fresh and comfortable. It's like, you kind of know how the story is going to unfold but somehow you find yourself enjoying the ride as if it was your first time watching a kdrama. That's what I feel with this one.
Here we go again. My new obsession. And that's good because I haven't been excited for a drama in a long time. This looks really good to be honest. It's fresh, spontaneous, funny, entertaining. The leads: there's tons of chemistry and they look SO good together! And also the dinamic and pace of the story. Everything is promising and makes me think this could be a huge hit.
Jung Yoo Min reminded me of someone and I couldn't tell who! Ep 2 and I finally got it : Lee Min-Jung. And since I love her so much, I think that's why I'm liking the female lead too.
