Imao agreed. Loved Ueno Rie & was glad to see that she didn't died (but still hated the fact at how she turned…
So apparently 5 years ago me was traumatised by character deaths. Good ol times. Anyways, thanks for the comment, it made me look back at my original views and thoughts while watching dramas back then. I honestly don’t remember the contents and storyline of The Bridal Mask anymore, but I still find it one of the most memorable dramas I watched back then. I hope it will also be the same for you in 5 years
I love how Shifu keeps telling Haishi to go to her room to reflect on herself. If she had really reflected every time he said that, she would have turned into a mirror by now.
Thank you so much for the article. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I’ve watched all the dramas from The Grave Robbers Chronicles. Each and every one has a special place in my heart (although I do prefer some of them over the others). But to be honest, there are times when I think the whole series has too many plot holes or should I say unanswered questions. Of course, that doesn’t stop me from loving the dramas but it makes me wonder if it’s because I haven’t read the novels. Would reading the novels fill some of the plot holes?
Thanks for the article. Really enjoyed reading it. I can easily put this drama in my favourites list of 2020 and it was nice to read about it from your perspective as well.
On a very far away side note: Lelouch!? You mean Lelouch Lamperouge who was my very first fictional crush? You just brought my childhood rushing back to me. I’m being very irrelevant but thanks for that reference. You just made my day ^^
This is a really crazy thought but could the guy in the mask, who’s not allowed to talk, actually be Seom’s long lost bro? And he’s actually covering his purple lips. It didn’t seem like anyone actually saw his face. But I might just have missed some stuff?
Park Bo Young is like the prettiest, cutest thing in the world. Much more prettier than the actress who played her before she died (although she’s plenty pretty as well). That aside, I’m really impressed by the friendship between the two main leads. Despite the female lead having rejected the male lead so many times, it’s so fresh to see how they maintained their friendship for so long and their bickering is so fun to see <3
The plot twist explains the ridiculously funny rescue mission. I was thinking that it was too far fetched for the bad guys to just kill all of the old people just for money, even for a drama. I enjoyed every bit of it nonetheless. If she is really an Alzheimer’s patient and all of this stuff didn’t really happen then I’m just glad that Young Soo didn’t get shipped off to Africa.
I’ve seen all of these (and enjoyed most of them) except for Cross. Not a fan of the genre or the cast but maybe I’ll give it a try one day. Thanks for the article! :)
You know what since Choi Jin Hyuk can’t be in the next episodes they should bring in the other dude that played him in the beginning. Say he gained weight again or something? He did mention that he gains weight easily. Man what a genius idea lol jk I doubt that can happen.
The important question is, since when was this drama 52 episodes long? And whether Chun Woo Bin will manage to survive until the end of the show. To be honest, I’m enjoying this drama right now but I want to see the ending already. Everything’s been dragging on for way too long.
I agree with you on the part that some dramas should not be binge-watched. Certain genres, like melodrama and suspense, lose their charm when you binge watch them. Melodramas are usually heavy on the emotion part so binge watching them really makes me gloomy and heavy hearted BUT that doesn’t mean I don’t binge watch them haha I can handle excessive emotions. To be honest, I’m guilty of binge watching dramas with almost 100 episodes so I don’t really relate to that part. For me, as long as it’s interesting, I watch non stop. The moment it gets boring, I drop, no emotions attached.
PS: I feel so proud to have noticed the pun in the native title.
