Yes, Bolero had little variation in it, ideal for providing the pace as you say but it became very popular after Torville and Dean used it as did Ravel.

Go Ahead won I think and The Bad Kids was mentioned in the Seoul International Awards but I'll check it out just to make sure. The latter was mentioned especially and may or may not have been nominated. I found the drama on Dramacool, shame it's not available on the MDL page.

I seem to prefer costume dramas too but occasionally I get a bit claustrophobic in ancient or fantasy times and need to come back to the present with a modern drama. Like you I've not watched anything modern except YAMG but I'm going to check out Song Zuer now before anything else.
You are making me curious about Song Zuer! I like the idea of her with Lin Yi because I quite like his acting; will look out for that one.
I hope I'll be able to see the similarities in her to Dilraba although she's winning awards and getting noticed already like Dilraba!

ZLS is 164cm but in TLB she looked much shorter? Sometimes you wonder about these heights! Wow, it was 1984? I was quite young then but I do remember Bolero by Ravel. The bad kids was nominated for the South Korean drama Awards last year and didn't it win? There are not that many episodes so I might binge the whole thing.

ZYL is 165cm and Reba is 168cm. I'll have a look at the drama because I did like figure skating events when I was younger too but stopped watching them. The most memorable couple were Torville and Dean for me and I remember that well; I think Britain won that year too. I might watch The Bad Kids I think as the reviews are good.

I see why you started this drama then, Being shorter won't be a problem I hope; look how popular Liu Yu NIng and Zhao Lu Si were! I'll look out for her then and see if she is a contender for Reba's position. For me, though Reba's skills and talent is not in doubt, her looks and height are part of her appeal and unique too and can't be passed on unfortunately.

The FL has a good background and seems heroine material. I've not watched her but I have seen the ML in Dreaming back to the Qin Dynasty which had some good young actors in it too; story was okay....ish.
