Can anyone give a character description of the male lead character in the novel? Is he much older than the FL…
Can't give a description as I've not read the novel yet. But Hu Ge and Wang Kai sound good as are all the others (I like your choices). There are two men around the FL so Xu Kai could be possible despite looking boyish ( Read somewhere that Gong Yin borrows the identity of Ye Lugi, not sure what that means) I'm all for the fresh blood too! I wanted Hu Ge with her in Ball Lightening.
Not bad choices I think, if Chen Kun was in Rise of the Phoenixes, that's also written by the same author. The ML is complex in this novel too, so worthy of the actors you mention.
Yes I can't wait for TBW and I am all geared up for it! You think the FL role in Feng Lai Qi is in her comfort zone? I think it may be the opposite; BL may be easier for her as it will be a similar role to Changge (the Manhua version) and Di Zi Yuan but in a modern setting. It's just a more obsessed, recalcitrant and forceful role. Anyway, you know that I enjoy all the speculation and love to read all the comments.
Thanks for the info, I also thought Reba was mentioned the longest in regard to Ball Lightening and I was disappointed she didn't take the role. Discovered all the rumoured actors didn't because of a clause in the contract. Obviously, she will pick up something or other but I get a bit overexcited about what it will be LOL!
Yeah. The best female lead in Chinese dramas deserves the best male co stars. I sometime wonder to myself, it…
All true! You can end up in a fix if your favourite is not taking on new projects too!! I see that Dilraba may decide on a new project after Spring Festival so no point in wasting time waiting and guessing! Just finished watching a new version of 'Around the World in 80 Days' on BBC iplayer. Only 8 episodes and it is funny and enjoyable.
Agree, that the love between the leads is more cutthroat from the little info available. Hard to compare with Changge and Di Zi Yuan however, Hengbo is still tough but using different weapons LOL! Definitely a different type of role if Dil takes and she will no doubt ace it!
I see! that's what was meant by 'she likes legs' LOL! I got the 'earthy' vibe from reading a little of the novel…
Would be a shame, it could lose some of it's appeal if that happens. Reba wears some daring gowns on the red carpet and she has no problem with intimate scenes but Chinese Censorship might have objections! You can hint at sexuality without showing everything! Is there any bawdy humour in it? Which would be fun to watch. Rather like The Witcher on Netflix if you know what I mean.
No, the process was not depressing either. At the start it was a bit amusing but then got serious with the ML suffering a bit just to defeat the villain but he was putting on a show to trick her. ( I might have quick read to recap) I'm more about the end rather than the process and some of it dragged for me, a bit torturous! So yes, very sweet ending!
LOL! Why do you think that? The FL came back to life in Pt 2 after we all got devastated thinking she died! And I thought the MC's reunited and confessed their love and fought the villains together and won!
Alright, reading the first 20 chaps, the fl's character is just, how to put it, how will they even show her always…
I see! that's what was meant by 'she likes legs' LOL! I got the 'earthy' vibe from reading a little of the novel and some reviews. The screenplay will have to downplay some of that lustiness! You've read fast! Well done.
