Yes the last ep does feel very rushed plus some of the writing was a bit weak and the emphasis on Ton having a baby was a stupid storyline but there was a lot I liked. Apart from Ton's father and Amp I liked all the other characters, Chon's mum was the best, she had the funniest line I've ever heard in a Thai series- "you're a disgusting old man with a limp dick"and then he came back with "how do you know I have erection problems", sorry but I nearly choked on my drink. I think the series needed another episode to tie things up better and they should have just gone with comedy all the way thats what worked the best, I didn't think it was all that bad, not a great show but far from the worst.
Depends on your point of view, there's no happy ever after but likewise no-one dies and there is no break up scene. I personally liked it I thought it fitted in with the story quite well.
Powerfully acted and very well made coming of age story about love that could never be. There were 2 outstanding sequences, the beach scene the last meeting of the two boys was sweet and quite poignant and the shower scene was very stricking, love desire and even shame were emotions conveyed expertly by the two actors. My only issue with the film was the 2nd half, were the pace does slip a little, a highly enjoyable movie recommended.
Really enjoyed this series, yes the pacing is a bit slow and there are too many flashbacks and "previous" scenes, but it's well acted and produced plus the chemistry between Otep & Tau is great. Hopefully if the 2nd season gets made the Pangs and Bianca/Jet stories will get there conclusion.
Light-hearted, silly and easy to watch. If your a fan of the 6 actors like me you'll also love this, the plot is nothing to write home about but the chemistry between all 6 is brilliant and some of the comedy is really funny especially the scene where Off is in dress, highly recommended!!
Plot twists then more plot twists, double cross then more double cross, revenge then more revenge, this was one crazy show all squeezed into 5 episodes. Based on a true story, if thats true I'd love to read the real life story 'cause that must be one hell of life. The first 2-3 eps are all over the place and the characters are all a bit annoying, but it does get a bit better and ep5 is amazing. Everything happens-secrets are revealed, Prang & Sin get a few slaps in the face and the non-stop fighting in the background between Prang & Aon at the end is hilarious. Not a great show by any means but everyone should at least watch the last episode if your looking for a good laugh.
I have seen over 125 Thai series & movies and I must say that this is by far the best acted of any of them, I was really impressed. Namtam in her double role was truly outstanding, playing the tough "Meen" and the sweet but vulnerable "Mind" she carried both roles so well her emotional scene's were so believable, a special mention to Jan as Tida also, I hated Tida so much but that was because Jan was so impressive however everyone did an excellent job- Krist, Kay, Sing, Max and Kik really were all on top form. I haven't seen the original Korean so I can't compare but I really enjoyed the story, the bullying story wasn't overdone and the revenge on Tida was handled well, I also have to say the OST was brilliant it was so dramatic and it gave the show a very professional feel and the intro although not as good as Dark Blue Kiss was great I never skipped it. Overall I would highly recommended this series, I'm more a BL fan but even I have to say this blew me away more than a lot of those shows, AMAZING!!!
Decent mini series about 4 guys who go to the beach and all sorts of secrets, truths and fears are exposed. Each ep focuses on one of the characters and their story, 1-Harry, 2-Kian, 3-Lei, 4-Nick, I felt personally episode 3 was the best and most interesting, but I did feel the last ep was a little underwhelming. Acting was good, Miguel was by far the best but as it went along everyone got better and for a short 4 ep series I thoufght it was well produced.
Not a bad movie, basically a one-sided first love story (although Toy was a bit ambiguous with his feeling to say the least). The acting and story were both good I thought but I think it the writing became a bit sloppy towards the end. Some people consider it a sad ending because there is no happy coupling scenes, however personally I liked the end, Nack fought past his problems and got where he wanted. Watchable for BL & Chimon fans.
Easy to watch & very, very, very cute, romantic story of first love. A feel good movie and a good way to spend an hour, oh and did I mention it was cute!
OK movie, better and more expanded than the series which ended too early. I prefered the high school boys storyline more than the older guys which I felt was a bit underwhelming. The open ending was a little frustrating but it's not bad, acting is OK the 2 actors who play Per was by far the best and I liked the soundtrack, all in all a watchable little film.
After the Covid problems in Why RU it's good to see more of the Sai/Zon story and this is a cute and fluffy mini series. There isn't much of a plot but that doesn't matter as it's really just for the fans, I enjoyed it and if liked the parent show you will too.
Really enjoyable Korean series, acting and production was very good although the ending was a bit rushed, considering it's only 6 short eps it is way better than I'd expected.
Poorly written, direction was lacking, the Eng subs are the worst I've ever seen, editing was laughable as was the continuity and some of the acting was just shocking, but even with all that by the end I surprised myself because I really enjoyed it. There are so many couples (including a GL couple) it took me til' about ep5-6 to work out who everyone was, the main pair Ongsah/North are cute and out of everyone have the best story, Wan/Mai have good chemistry together and there (many) bedroom scenes are nice and actually quite strong plus the other couples Ten/Arm & Indy/Jedi are also good fun. The volleyball story was not interesting and if you skip it you wont miss anything as is the supernatural sister story, the show is at its best when the boys are all together and being cute. The whole production felt like a first time project to me, as some of it just seems a bit amateurish but, if you can get past the bad subs and messy first few eps there is a lot to enjoy here, just go with it & don't think about things too much you'll get a headache.
Superb Filipino micro-drama, performances were spot on and the chemistry between the guys was on fire, hopefully we'll get a 2nd series. 2020's shortest series may well be my favourite of the year, I thought it was PURE,DEAD,BRILLIANT!!! (Scottish for I loved it)
Having read so many negative views about this series & the fairly low rating, I was nervous about watching, but I'm so glad I did, so much better than I anticipated. Yes taking half the series to re-tell the Tin/Can story was a bit silly and the side couples, Kla/No & Hin/Tul & Keen/Tum, had too little screen time, but in my humble opinion this was a sweet, romantic and well made sequel. No-one was happy with Tin/Can's ending in S1, but we get a proper conclusion here and I for one am not ashamed to say I loved it.
4 decent short stories with a LGBT theme, the last story L is the best I thought. I really wish Thanaerng would get more roles I love her in virtually everything I've seen her in, she is such a good underated actress.
The emergence of Filipino BL shows has been my highlight of 2020 but this show felt like we've gone backwards, it just wasn't good for me. Yes the acting was excellent and the OST was great, but the story was just awful. The relationship between Shake & Ken just felt rushed, one minute they barely knew each other the next they were holding hands there was no real progression in there story and as for the mother and Sandee words cannot express how much I disliked them. After watching the series the only message I got from the story was it's fine to be gay as long as you're dead and Sandee's straight feelings are more important than you're gay ones, attitudes that were acceptable in the 1950s not today!
Nice, simple little series with some good performances, and it ends very well. Story is a bit slow, the writing is a bit messy and the continuity between some of the scene's was a shambles, but this was a low budget series and I think they did very well with what they had. Hope to see more of the cast particularly New & Meen.
I think the series needed another episode to tie things up better and they should have just gone with comedy all the way thats what worked the best, I didn't think it was all that bad, not a great show but far from the worst.
