Sweet, innocent and also very endearing little low budget series, but my god this was a tough watch. The pace is so slow, the story is OK but it takes forever to go anywhere and the director's static approach to filming didn't help nor did the constant repeating of scenes. There were some things that I liked though, the characters were fun, openly gay Tae was good, there was no awkward coming out scenes he was what he was, Namwhan was a beautiful supportive friend and I even liked the first Nite, yes he was a bit stiff in the acting department but there was something about him I warmed to.
This is not a series everyone will enjoy the pacing is just far too slow for many tastes, but if you don't mind a simple slow burning story you may like it.

You and I agree on this then... :) See my blog post:https://boyloveperusal.wordpress.com/2021/05/25/a-tale-of-thousands-stars-synopsis-review-and-analysis/
Interesting, especially about Thai culture, forgiveness & ghosts are apart of a lot of Thai series & I never really thought of that before and I do agree with you on the end of the show.

Really powerful little micro series about the dangers of online. Prostitution, rape, sexual exploitation, blackmail and bullying all packed into 50 terrifying minutes. Very well made and the girls, Linlin & Daw were excellent, even in such a short series there roles were tough but the handled them really well. Hopefully there will be more episodes as these 3 were superb, but even if there aren't anymore the show still holds up and I'd recommened it to everyone.

Apart from the slightly open ended finale (and aparently there won't be a 2nd season to tie things up which is a shame) this was a superb and important gay family drama. Yes the acting was on point, had a good story and the production was well done but the most important thing about this was for me normalizing the gay family. So many other shows when portraying same sex families pile on problem after problem and ostracize them from family & friends, here however it starts with a very happy family and continues in that way, the one negative stoyline in episode 5 is turned on it's head and becomes a very sweet family moment. I really loved this short series, it dealt with a subject that doesn't get enough airtime and does it really well, highly recommended to all.

Given the high rating and overwhelming positive reaction I really hoped I wouldn't be diappointed and I wasn't (for the most part). Like everyone else has said newbie Mix was outstanding, given this is his 1st series his performance was like he'd been acting for years he was excellent but in truth everyone did really well, Aye as always was beautiful. The heart transplant story was something different for Thai BL and is highly enjoyable and the stunning locations gave a sense of believablity to the story, then there was the slow build romance between Tian/Phu I loved it, there was always a strong chemistry between them when they were on screen together and it never felt forced or fake.

However, & I know people will disagree with me (it seems everyone here on MDL loves this, hopefully you won't hate me though) but I really disliked episodes 8+9, the story was going along so well everything was building up so nicely until the end of ep 7, I honestly thought this would be one of my fav shows ever but Phu became a complete ass and I went right off him. The writing became a little cliched- blame the outsider for everything & I'm poor you're rich so we shouldn't be together now go away- those two eps took the energy out of the show for me. Episode 10 did put put everything back on track though, it's sweet, romantic and everything I wanted in a finale.

That said this a top quality series, the production and acting set it apart from countless others and I thoughly recommened it to all.

Decent little Chinese BL series, low budget and obviously a starter project for most behind the show but there dedication paid off. Acting was nothing great but as it went along I liked the characters more & more and got into the story as well, however the last episode was poor.
This is however a real Chinese BL series and I don't want to criticize it to much, getting anything like this from PRC is wonderful as it must have been tough to do given the censorship issues there and it is a very watchable and enjoyable little series, hopefully it will inspire more to be made, recommemded. You'll also have a right good laugh at the cake scene!!!

Wasn't expecting much, only 6 eps and not a particularly high rating but was genuinely surprised how much I'd enjoyed it. Yes the 1st ep is a bit messy and some of the stories are a little underdeveloped but there was so much more to enjoy, Chris & Jeno were amazing (would love to see them as the main couple in another series) they were very sweet and cute together and I loved them both and the Paper & Tong Fah couple I also really liked. All the performances were strong even the girls who are usually annoying in BL series I really didn't mind in this, the OST was nice and the prom scenes at the end were very romantic.
This a show that deserves a lot more attention, as a BL fan I've seen some shows that get hyped up and are massively disappointing and this little show slips in unnoticed and was excellent, highly recommended!

A nice if overly saccherine way to end the whole Tharn/Type story. Yes it could've been better, more of Champ and the Doc would've been nice & a bit less of No would've been welcome and I think it was about 30 minutes too long but, there was no stupid conflict or arguments it was what is was a sweet wedding special. Sorry to the fans but hopefully they will end it here, it ended on a positive for them let them live happily ever after!!!!

I wasn't a huge fan of the 1st series so I didn't have big expectations of this, and although not great I didn't think it was all that bad.
Mew/Gulf are amazing, as a screen couple they are believable and have great chemistry together (they were the best thing about s1), I also really liked the doc and Champ they were sweet and there was something innocent and charming about them.
There were problems though, the pace of the show was just so slow especially the last 3 episodes, then there was the writing and or story, Tharn & Type really didn't have any progression as a couple from the 1st series, supposedly 7 years later but it could've 7 minutes later they didn't seem to have grown any. The Fiat/Type story never convinced me either it just seemed like a retelling of the Kao/Non story from Dark Blue Kiss only not as good and then forgive me I don't want to bash religion but episode 12 was mind numbingly boring, the ordained/monk storyline was just not my cup of tea and frankly I skipped a lot of it, the whole ep just felt like a big anti-climax.
Having said all that and given all the hate it is has gotten I still think that it's a very watchable series just don't expect too much or you'll be disappointed.

Very confusing at times but if you like fairly gory horror you'll love this. The last 2 eps are really good, the nipple scene in episode 12 is so realistic it had me sqirming and making sure mine wear OK (LOL), performances were strong especially Jane, she was a revelation in her first sinister role hope she gets more roles like this. Crazy as hell but weirdly a lot of "fun".

Certainly a film of 2 halves. The first half of the movie was superb, Ohm & Nont were excellent there story was believable and had great chemistry together & even their conflict and fight scenes had real power. The 2nd half of the film where everyone has grown up frankly just felt a little weird, the reincarnation story didn't do anything for me and in fact felt a bit uncomfortable wih the teacher/student story. Not a bad film by any means it's very watchable, all the performances are very good and it's a very professional and well made movie it's just a shame the brilliant start wasn't maintained.

On We Best Love: Fighting Mr. 2nd Apr 26, 2021
Waited a few weeks to watch this as was feeling a bit of BL fatigue and i'm glad I did as this was excellent. Apart from a shaky 2nd ep with some consent issues which was a little uncomfortable I felt this was a top drawer series, acting from the cast was superb and the 3 couples were believable together with no awkward scenes. Overall I prefered the 1st series a little more but this was in my opinion a highly entertaining show and has reinvigorated my love of Asian BL's, recommended.

No conflict, no annoying characters and no pointless side couple or sub-plots just a really wonderful mature family drama about gradual acceptance and deep regret. Acting was superb from all, I wasn't sure when the show started if I'd like Mike but I really grew to love the big man and as for Kana she was a little sweetheart and stole every scene. Just 3 episodes but it was the perfect length to tell this story, I would highly recommend this little series it was a pleasure to watch.

On Bangkok Love Stories 2: Innocence Mar 24, 2021
Decent series, well made and acted but story was very basic and ordinary. Simon and his mum were the best characters and had a few touching scenes but even this was a bit underwritten, the Eve & Danny story was deeply boring and if you skip it you wont miss anything. I liked Dr Krit and I personally thought he & Simon had good chemistry together more than Simon/Keaton (sorry Max fans), the best part of the whole show was a small cameo by Tul in the last ep it was unexpected and cute. This isn't a bad show it's watchable just don't expect too much.

Very well made and acted drama about a genuine issue. The first couple of episodes are a bit all over the place and Fah as a character was a little passive and weak, but as it went along both got a lot better. I loved the character Jane she was tough but had a heart of gold, the show didn't tie up all the stories at the end like- does Fah's father and Mek's mum ever accept them and the baby- but for me it just added to the realism in the story. The cameos in the series were great, Singto having a scene with Krist in hospital, Jennie playing an annoying flatmate and by far the best was Off/Gun in the dentist surgery they were absolutely hilarious. From an average start I really grew to love this show, Jane & Krist were excellent as the leads and they got great support from everyone, recommended.

Title The Stranded
High quality, well made mystery/survival series. The first 5 episodes are excellent, it's fast paced, exciting and intriging, the acting and characters were all very good however, for me personally I thought the last 2 eps were a mess. There was way too much going on and also some of the characters just completely changed but the real problem for me was the lack of any narrative conclusion. If there is no 2nd season and 2 years on it doesn't look good this is a show I could never re-watch.

Yes I loved Stud too, he sorted his life and got a happy end it was nice to see.

Title Ossan's Love
This is generally the kind of show I like and given the amount of positivity here I really tried but I just couldn't get into this. My main problem was Haruta I just never liked him, from the beginning he just annoyed the hell out of me, he was never straight forward with anyone he went along with everything even if he didn't want to, his best scene was at the very end when he & Maki are on the floor it was sweet and cute. Some of the comedy worked OK but personally a lot of the frantic Haruto stuff fell a bit flat for me, but if it's your type of comedy you'll probably find it hilarious. This a popular series with a lot of fans and will definately get more but just not for me.

Nice minor drama, the acting was great, the OST was excellent and it dealt with some serious issues- homophobia and bulling- and handled them well in such a short series. The beginning was a bit messy though and although the ending was fine I was a bit underwhelmed, a very watchable small series just don't expect too much.
