i have been screaming all episode omgggg THE TENSION, the BGM that adds to it, THE FINAL SCENE! giggling kicking my feet as i always do watching love scout! the director knows a thing or two about romance and how to get his viewers invested in even the slightest brushing of their hands or the lightest of glimpses at eachother. it's delicious.

lmao so predictable isn't it to have the FL be undermined to let the ML save the day! who cares if she is the literal commander of the mission. she's a murderer who kills a few cells. ML is saving em precious human life.

this really is a weird show lol. i don't know what to feel about it but i can't stop looking at it, with increasing exasperation and sometimes the 1.5x button tbh. have a few thoughts about the pro life stand the show is seemingly going for but i just wonder if it's even worth saying in this case. still kinda in bewilderment about certain things. i keep wondering if the drama is going for dark comedy or satire or somewhere between the two. or most likely, neither.

rated 18+ that's interesting. i haven't read the webtoon, but i presume the rating have to do with violence?

oh i wasn't even talking about the story. i rated true beauty low, the webtoon is mid imo. i thought we were talking about in terms of success/popularity. cuz in terms of success true beauty ain't a flop in any sense lol. it's also probably why we have a lot of webtoon adaptations instead of original content :)

i mean i agree with your overall point, writers gotta do better, but true beauty is far from a flop. both webtoon & kdrama are one of the most popular (if not the most well known) works in their respective categories in this decade. wrong example for a flop, unfortunately.

for real 😭 feeling broken is damn right. and the butterflies during their phone call too omg. such a natural simple convo but that didn't hold me back from losing my mind all the same

the feelings i get watching this drama istg. the amount of squealing and grinning that I do, it's like falling in love with someone for the first time irl lol. i can hardly describe it! amazing how the drama can make you feel all the feels by letting the leads just naturally fall in love. no grand or dramatic gestures or poetic voice overs. simple direction that goes tremendously well with the story. it feels very realistic that way, like it's the kind of falling in love you could experience too (although a man that perfect is sure hard to find lol)

even the writer wouldn't know why nobody was on backup incase of an emergency. wouldn't another suited astronaut go out to help eve & maintain the buddy system anyway. pretty sure you don't wait to pick a substitute and then wait for de pressurisation only once the emergency occurs! also curious why the control asked for eve to be unhooked to pull her back into the hatch? isn't that the only tether holding her in space? afaik there's always another tether that's connected to the hatch but eve was flailing and flying away only on one. i could definitely be wrong on this but feel like i have seen it in other space movies.

i wish to see him in a drama with choi hyunwook. even shin eunseo. a youth drama with all 3 would be amazing

I just can't unsee ha yichan in the teaser 😭 hyunwook is talented he will do well but his high school roles are iconic enough imo to not be easily forgettable

man i was really enjoying it including the overall wackiness of the show, but the way gong ryong just marched into eve's room while drunk and pinned his arms on the bed kinda completely put me off his character. that's just icky. Eve isn't just a woman, she is his mission commander. i thought we were past that era of romance. heirs was more than a decade ago. the vfx is so well done it's a shame, they could have simply adapted one of the korean sci fi books instead of this rehash of old tropes but in space that they opted for.
