I understand you. I still haven't seen this one (I'm planning to), but it happened to me with another drama. It was so loved that I expected to love it so much, but I ended up thinking it was good, but not that good. I think it’s ok, we are all different, we have different taste and our mood affects our vision. Maybe we just weren't in the right mood when we watched it, but it doesn't mean that what we saw wasn't good.
This sounds like a dark role. I'm in! I want her more in these kind of stories. Even tho I didn't really like the movie "Following", her performance was amazing. Hoping in more roles like this!
