For anyone coming: Light, almost no romance but really good friendship and comeradery 100% propaganda promoting the CCP and painting the GMD in a bad light Deep, emotional character. Wei Ruolai is something Wang Yibo portrayed with great feeling Official OST is not too commendable except for Zhou Shen's song which is really good As many have mentioned below, if you ignore the propaganda, its really very good. My favourite period drama I've watched (set in either republican or post cultural revolution/reform era china)
WHennnnn is ts coming out AGHAGHAGh like twenty years ago minghao said it would be "meeting everyone soon" in an interview...ts is not soon but lowkey being so occupied in june and july with so many high budget productions coming out these days maybe it's better to avoid the storm and come later so there's less competition and people will be able to focus on it properly haha
Lowkey just realized but the OST is surprisingly good. Drama itself could have been better but the OST is high tier music; my personal favourites include the one by liu yuning and the other by huangzi hongfan
JUST COME ALREADY THE TRAILER FRIED ME https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vz7yW0lxJkg I watched it on this video and it has multiple clips of them as well put together in one video so it was like extra Murong Qingyi and Ren Susu after the trailerrrr I CANT WAIT
Any novel readers....what will be the end of FLs mother......? I m very curious about that....?
in the novel she falls down some stairs and dies while running away from like debt collectors idk if they wil follow that in the drama tho may have remembered wrong but its around basically that ending just not great for her which is great for us
For anybody who's read the novel...there are reuters where Mo Xiuyao's hair turns grey. Why? Don't tell me he's dying of a terminal illness or some random poisoning and those are their last moments then he's going to die at the end inevitably and leave Ye Li alone...
One eps a day from tomorrow...starving us for what Fry me bc I haven't been so obsessed with a modern drama in a while Torturous. They better get back to two eps a day after the 21st
I saw many others saying this is the first drama they've followed since the booting ceremony and to be honest it is the same for me...I've been following the reuters and everything during the process so I feel much closer to the drama itself. I still remember how they starved us in the first few months for content but finally Xie Queshan was caught in the same frame as Nan Yi and I was so excited. Everything followed soon after like the kissing scenes and the traumatic scenes, but even if it is a BE I will still watch till the end. After all, that's never stopped me before. Now we can only wait for it to air and pray for success!!! Finally wrapped and I'll be waiting an aeon for this to come.
