It is a not-that-serious show, and I am okay with that. I think Luke, Chokun, and Ken are really pretty. I am not saying the others are ugly; I only think these three are sooooo pretty, especially Luke. However, Kim is a bit annoying as a character. I don't like his weird obsession. I am curious to see Tar/Per development.
a person who gives great shows like ATOTS a 7.5 rating and Last Twilight an 8 should not be talking about quality…
What is ATOTS? A Tale of a Thousand Stars? I really don't like the way they portrayed rural people. Villagers are portrayed like stu.pid people who need Bangkok people to help them. Also, I don't like the fact that the father of the main character didn't go to jail for what he did.

I liked the first episodes of Last Twilight, but I hated the last ones. Day was so selfish. He treated Mohk and his brother like trash. He was so mean to everyone and never apologized for his behavior.
I found the series boring and drawn out. It could have been summarized in fewer episodes. 13 episodes was too much, I ended up giving up on episode 8. I found the characters very boring and uninteresting. The performances of the supporting characters are not convincing, especially Lego - who is VERY bad in the series. This whole thing about the band in conflict with the record company was annoying. The romance scenes were excessively cheesy.
The Heart Killers had an entire American in the cast, the Captain of the Police or whatever and I don't remember…
No. Thais care MUCH more about the presences of other Asians. Thais can be pretty racist towards Asian immigrants, specially Burmese, Cambodians, and Laotians. The presence of Luk Krueng (mixed blood) in Thailand are far less discussed.
And I was just responding your comment. You said the character is forced. It is not. Period.
"... why a random white guy in an Easern show?"Because immigration is a real thing? That people, no matter their…
Respectfully, I think it is intriguing that you use a very white/Western way of thinking (representation thing is a VERY western way of seeing things). The way you use "our stories" indicate a a common western behavior: they see all Asians as part of the same identity. This is so White, man. So American. You talk as someone who was raised on Brooklyn. Someone who sees Asian immigrants on streets and treat them as part of one generic thing called "Asian". In Asia, nationalities are more important than anything. Thais are Thais, Japanese are Japanese, Chinese are Chinese. What "our stories" are you talking about? Thais don't see other Asians as part of their identity. Leon is Thai, so he is more legit for the locals than a foreign Asian actor would be. I am not Thai, but I live in Thailand for 6 years and they don't see Asian foreigners as part of their history. They share a very narrow identity among themselves.
Well, if you don't like it, don't force yourself. I have watched some episodes several times. And after watching…
I like it because I like how the characters are portrayed, how teenage life seems realistic. Love the photography, the social media anxiety, the views of Bangkok. I love the acting the most. I think Make it Right and Lovesick are horrible. Thank Buddha this one is completely different from those kind of series. LOL

It is not forced. No Thai is complaining about it. You are the only one complaining here. How can it sound forced if the actor is Thai just like the character? He speaks perfect Thai with Isan (northeast) countryside accent.

I agree with you that Thailand is obssessed with half-white actors, but I don't think you can call them "random Weasterners", since they are Thai citizens. Leon, for example, is a Thai actor. Borned and raised in Thailand. He is not an immigrant, not a random White guy. His mother is Thai, he is a mixed blood person. You should not deny his nationality as a Thai saying he is not part of "OUR stories". Also, your comment about other Asian nationalities ignores the fact that Thais with foreign Asian blood are also casted in Thai series. I can give you some examples: Mond Tanutchai is half Indian. Nanon Korapat is half Vietnamese. Noeul Nuttarat is half-Korean. Chahub Marut is half-Iranian. Longshi Lee is half-Singaporean. We can also mention Luke Ishikawa, a Japanese actor who found a place in the Thai entertainment industry.
Well, well, well. This was certainly the best BL to come out of Thailand in a long time (if not ever). I'm so…
I personally prefer PJ and New as actors, but Leon is also very good. I don't think colourism/racism is adressed in this series. Mixed race Thais such as Leon are common in Thai entertainment industry, even though they are a tiny minority in the country. Actually, the Luk Krueng (half-Thai, half-western) are overrepresented on Thai Media. Racism in Thailand is more related to the supremacy of the Thai-Chinese over the "native" Thai. All the main characters except Bua are Thai-Chinese. If they wanted to adress colorism or racism, they should have had a "native" in the show. I would love to see this topic in a Thai series or movie in the future.

Well, if you don't like it, don't force yourself. I have watched some episodes several times. And after watching them, I go to youtube to check the reactions and rewatch it again. Lol Episode 6, for example, I watched 3 times and watched 4 reactions on YouTube. Lol I simply love it.
I loved every episode except the last which seem to be the weakest in terms of narrative coherence and a little…
Interesting how you disliked the episoded I loved the most. I think everything you said sounds irrelevant. For me, the development of characters was pretty fine.
I'm curious about how they're going to resolve this love mess in just one hour of the final episode. It would be bold if all four ended up single. Maybe that would be the most realistic ending. But, if the series were to end with two couples, I still prefer ChianFou4mod and BuaBaabin. I think it would be forced if Fou4mod ended up with Baabin, they didn't have the slightest chemistry the whole story. It was always an unrequited love. It would be forced if the two stayed together. And I think Bua really likes Baabin and that Baabin could learn to like Bua. Maybe he already likes him a little, but he's still obsessed with Fou4mod. I think Baabin is already in the process of getting over Fou4mod, but psychologically, he still hasn't managed to free himself completely. He has a very idealistic view of his friend, I think trying to make this romance happen will make him realize that the two shouldn't be together. And in the end, I think Chian is really trying to be a better person and he really likes Fou4mod. Chian has matured, he has learned what emotional reciprocity is by comparing his relationship with Bua and Fou4mod. The truth is that none of the 4 are bad people. I don't judge anyone, despite the many mistakes made by almost all of them. Baabin was the only one so far who wasn't mean to anyone. All the others were immature at some point, and I forgave them all. LOL
I loved your comment. You seem to be so nice! Sorry for your husband!
