Where does it say he identifies as straight? Cause You know, bisexuality is also a thing.
I never read the novel. Someone told me he was gay in the novel, but apparently the person who said that is wrong.
But in the series he doesn't seem to identify as a bissexual, since he only talks about girls. It would be better if he already identified as a bi since the first episode.
Young fanbase? Of all stories... Bad Buddy lol? I think this story is wayyyy too angsty to fit that bill. It may…
I live in Thailand. I am a teacher here. This kind of show targets young viewers. That's why the fights are so fake. Most of my young students like shows like Bad Buddy.
Someone told me that Pat is a proud gay in the novel. Apparently he identifies as straight in the series adaptation. I would prefer if he was gay, it would be more interesting. In BL series we always have this straight confusing guys plot. It is so repetitive. What about these gang fights? They are in college, but they act like 14 yo boys. That's ridiculous. It was difficult to watch this second episode. GMM should try to improve the quality of their production, like they did with 1000 Stars. This series, unfortunately, seems to be like all the others. No creativity at all. The only things I really like here are Nanon and Ohm. Pran and Pat's friends are either boring or douchebags. And the plot is too childish so far. In some ways, the plot is even unrealistic. Thailand is a very strict country. Repeatedly fighting inside a campus would result in expelling for sure. Unless you are a very rich person whose family is influent which doesn't seem to the the case of Pran and Pat. I am done with this gang thing, it is ridiculous and uninteresting. I wanna see their story, not a bunch of boys engaging in fake fights.
As much as I agree to all this. Choosing to do a BL and not to do it is totally their own choice. They can't be…
I disagree. I think they can be condemned. Some of them are homophobic but they choose BL series for personal promotion. After getting famous they pretend they never did BLs before and continue their homophobic life.
I just watched this movie. It is so disappointing.
SPOILER
Nothing happens between the characters. It is the classic cliche of a gay boy who is in love with a straight guy who doesn't care about him. And the idiot gay guy dies to save the straight guy who doesn't care about him.
The moral is: gay guys are lustful individuals who cannot avoid falling for straight muscular guys. Since gay guys cannot be happy, they need to give up their lives in favor of super muscular straight boys.
Nanon didn't need a BL series to ascend to success. He did that after years of a solid career where he portrayed many characters. I don't want to belittle those who started their careers in BL series, but we know that many actors do BL just to get famous. BLs are a shortcut to success in Thailand nowadays. Nanon didn't need that at all but he still accepted the challenge.
Unlike some who quit portraying BL characters after fame, Nanon did the opposite. He decided to portray a BL role when his career was already consolidated, without having to use the LGBTQIA + agenda to promote himself only to quit the BL industry after fame like some actors out there. He doesn't need BL to be famous because he already got almost 3 million followers in Instagram, he took the role as a challenge of his career.
I applause Ohm too, as he's not ashamed to do one BL after another. This is already his fifth! While some out there make a disgusted face during kissing scenes, he is already a BL veteran. No shame or fear of being happy.
Although I can say there are good and bad things to comment about the first episode, I can say I like it. We still have here some common problems found in GMM series (the fight scenes are embarrassingly fake, some non-leading actors are not that good and the comedy sometimes repeats the classic slapstick formula). I appreciate however that the story seems more realistic than other GMM series. The reason why Pat wanna protect Pra is convincing and the main actors feel confident in their roles. The romantic scenes were good because they were cute but not too cheesy, another common problem in GMM series. It was a good start although it is too early to say it is a good show. I am watching it because of Nanon and Ohm and I am not disappointed so far.
I actually felt the first trailer was more of a comedy. This one felt actually more on the borderline of drama
I don't think so. Because we have again the fujoshi plot of two straight guys who make a bet. This kind of plot lacks realism, since people don't generally do this in real life. So, this version looks like less serious and more girl-target series. This generally means less real stuff and more fluffiness.
The first half of the trailer has too much comedy on it and I didn't feel the second part deconstructed the impression made by the first part. Also, this trailer is bit confusing, too much scenes. They should make it more concise.
But this is just my impression. Trailers don't show us how the show will be.
The first trailer pleased me more than this one. I think this version is more comical and less dramatic, which I personally don't like much. This kind of "who falls in love first" bet is too fujoshi for me. But we need to wait and see how things will develop. I like Nanon and Ohm, I hope the best for them.

Waste of time.

Ohm and Nanon are honorable actors.
