Third time watching this and I come away marveling at this masterful science fiction film. No line of dialogue was extraneous, the pacing moved along but it was definitely a philosophical story which many science fiction stories are. I've come to love Park Bo Gum and this was my first introduction to him, now watching it again as his fan in particular I am just as impressed by his soulful acting as I was the first time. This is the kind of story that stays in my imagination even though it had a conclusive ending.

I absolutely fell in love with Cheng Yi due to Stand by Me, a phenomenal political drama. He has a unique quality to him that comes through in every role. I'm really looking forward to South Wind Knows my Mood, and Immortal Samsara is one of my most anticipated dramas, which I haven't sat down yet to watch.

Watching this I've become a huge fan of Park Bo Gum! I realized I was already a fan of his from Seo Bak but I didn't realize it was him. His kind and sparkling personality in this show first attracted me and now I'm watching all of his dramas. (Ji Chang Wook is why I'm watching the show in the first place, love him!)

Where to watch
I am watching the Well Go USA twitter where they give updates on their dvd/streaming rights, which I hope they have for this movie as they released it in US theatres. They released the Witch 2 in theatres in the US a month before this movie and that movie's dvd/VOD is coming in November, so I'm hoping around December to have a chance to see this again somewhere.

How's the movie?? Is the plotline is full of mess or good to watch ???
I really loved it and followed the plot very well. I felt it was a great science fiction movie and had that korean martial arts element as well. It went back and forth between "present" and "past" but the plot actually moved forward through both, which was pretty amazing to see. I really liked all the main actors as well, and I just wish I had seen it twice in theaters, just waiting for it come out somewhere on streaming now

I'm a fan of "Fullmetal Alchemist". It is my favourite anime/manga ever. I love the character, the story... I…
I agree with Anemone, I loved the actors and felt like I saw seeing a version of Ed onscreen, which was enough for me. It couldn't possibly tell the full story with explanations, but it told the major plot points quite faithfully (which is why it is confusing to someone who doesn't know the story beforehand). Also it's been a while since I watched the anime so I wasn't anticipating what each scene or story beat should be, which helped.

Again, I thought Yamada Ryosuke did such a great job portraying Ed that I enjoyed every minute he and Al were on screen, and it just made me want to re-watch the anime.

I loved this! Such a great adaptation of the most famous scenes and heatwarming ending, that makes me want to go back and re-watch the whole anime for a fifth time.

Though I can see why this would be super confusing to anyone who hasn't watched the anime/read the manga. The viewer needs to fill in a lot in their head. As I know the story, I was able to go along with "oh yeah, that's right, that's what happened" the whole time.

I loved all the actors, especially for Ed, Winry, Prince Lin, and Colonel Mustang. I will be following other dramas starring Yamada Ryoske, he totally stole my heart at Edward.

I watched this drama due to Park Bo Gum but with some trepidation due to the low rating. I think it's a preference thing; if you liked the first two episodes with the focus on Hye Joon's rise in becoming an actor and his family drama, with the side focus on his best friend, the makeup artist, and everyone's families then this drama is perfectly consistent to the end. It's a slice of life and not really a romance.

What also may have lowered the rating is the general tone of the drama, which is somber and somewhat neutral. If it had a brighter tone and more upbeat vibe, perhaps that would have helped the experience in watching it, but I genuinely liked Park Bo Gum's character, and I related to the makeup artist's view on life quite a bit.

I hope it will be available for North American audiences. I've been waiting for Big Mouth which is a disney+ series…
thank you SO MUCH! Somehow the information about Big Mouth being on Hulu never filtered down to me all this time of reading about the show! Very excited to watch, and now I won't have to worry about when I can see The Worse Evil.

Well...I came to ask how I can best watch and enjoy this drama because I adore Cheng Yi and wouldn't miss it entirely....but now I see I'm among friends. Cheng Yi has a mesmorizing ability and I'm definitely under his spell.

I watched everything available with him last summer and absolutely loved Stand by Me. I cried through the Promise of Chang'an. Love and Redemption is not my cup of tea, but Cheng Yi acted his heart out. So, I'll set out to watch this drama and enjoy it because of him.

Suddenly while watching episode 4 I got a fruits basket vibe. Slice of life, tormented youths, people unfamiliar with doing some normal things, but slowly getting out of their comfort zone.

I love that Ji Chang Wook chose this drama, I love the intensity in his character.

Person Yeo Jin Goo
Came here to pay my respects for this actor's incredible talent. I was impressed when I was introduced to him in the Crowned Clown, but really blown away when he played the young versions of the main hero in Warrior Bak Dong Soo and The Moon Embracing the Sun. In both roles he held the weight and energy needed for the lead characters and matched the senior actors' portrayals. In both I was actually sad to see the backstories come to the end (even though I was watching Warrior Bak Dong Soo for Ji Chang wook). I'm excited to watch more of his works where he is the lead.

Is this available with Eng subs currently? Though the link points to apple TV, that bring up one episode and doesn't appear to have the whole show. On viki and Amazon it says it's not available in the US. Unless I have to start my subscription on apple TV to see it??

Title The K2
Just rewatched this show. First time I watched it I loved it and rated it 96/100. Since it was one of my first…
I adored this show from the first moment to the last, one of the best dramas in this genre of political thriller and action that I can imagine. The action scenes got me first, along with the extraordinary directing that made this feel like a movie. Ji Chang Wook as K2 is more thrilling and likeable than Bond or any other action hero to me, and the political intrigue and inter-personal relationships between him, Yoona, and the villains are exactly my taste. The highlight of course is K2's relationship with Choi Yoon Jin which didn't let me down for a second of screentime. She is the most fascinating female villains I've seen.

Perhaps this didn't get the highest rating I expected it to because people aren't as into the political intrigue, but I love it because all the political drama relates to every character's personal desires, so each scene relating to a political campaign or the family struggles over the business are pure character development. I could go on and on about why I find this show brilliant, and I hope that everyone who likes this type of story will discover it.

As a fan of K2, I held off watching this due to some mixed reviews, but when I watched this I was not disappointed. I saw the touch of the screenwriter of the K2 and enjoyed every episode to the end. It had a similar setup with a male hero who is extraordinarily talented and a heroine who needs saving, and the inter-personal relationships between characters who teeter on the edge between heroes or villains kept me guessing. It had some action scenes throughout, though not the same level as K2.

So really this was everything I could have expected from the writer Jang Huk Rin. My conclusion is that the lower rating comes from some unexpected turns to the story, but I enjoyed those as well as the ending. I would watch it again. Give it a try if you loved K2 for its intriguing male lead and multiple villains amidst the powerful rich class.
