aa. ofc i had a feeling its going to be "i can fix her" moment with jiseok and se young and eventually end up…
Se Young is yet another example of why I get so disappointed in the writing of K-dramas. Redeeming or attempting to manipulate viewers into feeling sympathy for characters that do terrible things for 99% of a drama sends a terrible message whether intended or not.
We are going into episode 96 out 103 and Se Young is still being a terrible person. She is or was attempting to evade any responsibility for her and her mothers criminal and abusive acts. She is not a character worthy of redemption or saving. If the writers wanted viewers to buy into this (at least international ones) then they should have started her atoning for her actions around episode 50.
I just watched episode 97 without subs…> I learned I know about 3 words in Korean if they’re spoken very slowly!***…
I, for one, cannot stand the weak mommy boy characters. I know they exist in real life, and that's bad enough. But, I don't understand why K-drama writers feature them so damn much.
A couple things:1. Based on what was shown with MJ and her older man scandal… how could anyone think that was…
The entire flashback scene showing how MJ's career was ruined made no sense. Unless the writer is hinting that entire thing was a fabricated set up. Otherwise the lighting, the distance, the movements that showed that she was trying to give CPR to a prone individual and the running off to a pharmacy for some strange reason only to find the person gone when she came back does not make any sense.
What the heck with the ridiculous scene at the end? She was wearing a helmet. Why did he need to protect her ?…
They could have just had 2 cops show up in the background as those 2 were in the middle of confronting the detective and cut away. We would have known he got arrested.
Again: I don't wanna watch the episode, can someone please keep me updated on what happened between Jiseok and…
Se Yeong got fired from the company. Ji Seok wouldn't help her except to try and convince her to turn on and leave her mother so she wouldn't go to jail. She refused for the most part claiming she would be helpless on her own without her mother.
Se Yeong —Queen of Denial Myeong Ji —Limbo Queen (how low can she go? )
Se Yeong is a 32-year-old loser. If not for her family, she would have never been a team leader at the company. No confidence to do anything on her own.
I agree! At least half of the drama she would have been a better person if the writer wants redemption. Se Young…
They are just showing Se Young as someone looking to get out of paying any real price or consequences for her and her mom's actions. She was fine when everything was going their way.
In my opinion, if the writers wanted to present a redemption of SY, which viewers could get behind, they should have started the redemption arc many episodes ago.
