In general, that line implies he hoped people remember his characters and then perhaps him (as the actor to play those characters). That interview showed Xu Kai's thought about him as a normal being and as an actor besides his experience playing in Ancient Love Poetry. I am not really fond of this avatar either. He looks too serious in this picture which is not the first impression when I think about Kai . For me, he is like sunshine guy with radiant smile.
