the drama was aimed to air on TV and web based platform. Thus, it requires suitable TV slot available. Moreover, outside factors such as competition between various web broadcast platforms can impact the planning schedule too.
I have the impression that "Legend of Shen Li" took theTV slot which might be first reserved for ABAY.
And then another drama, Best choice ever, with the same actor (Xukai) and more or less similar genre (modern drama) is planned soon on CCTV8 (and Tencent/WeTV on web broadcast). Thus it might be not wise to broadcast this one (also on WeTV) close to BCE. It can dilute the view, commercial attraction etc.
In 2021, Xukai had 2 dramas, Ancient Love Poetry and Falling into your smile, broadcast at the same period. However, those dramas differ from each other in term of genre and broadcast platform. ALP was xianxie drama on Tencent and FIYS was a modern, idol one on Youku

In the scene when Yao Yao picked up her son at the airport, the kid said he was 4 year old (a bit above 4). Yang Hua and Yao Yao parted for more than 6 years. Thus he was not her son's father.

The 2nd couple has a clear happy ending.
The main couple's ending is a kind of open ending. They both came back to live and encountered each other again. It gave the impression that they were destined to each other and they could make their life, go their own way (not be manupulated by outsiders)
