well, she has a foreigner's face, it's pretty obvious to chinese people but to overseas audience she may look…
Is the actress from the same "ethnic group" as Dilraba and Yalkun Merxat? Their features are distinct from other Chinese actors. A beautiful mixture of both Asian and European actually.

Title Weaving a Tale of Love Spoiler
I am wondering this too but if you watch the ending of each episode we can see brief scene of her in the arms…
I also noticed the crown prince kind of holding LuiLu in his arms in either the opening or closing credits. When I saw that I thought about the conversation LiuLi had with her foster father reminding her to be cautious of all, including We Mei Niang. I wonder if the romantic attraction the crown prince may eventually have for LiuLi will lead to any tension between her an Wei Mei Niang. Maybe the conversation with her foster father was a foreshadowing of that. It's fun trying to connect the dots on what may come in future episodes!

Title When My Love Blooms Spoiler
Really annoying how the main female lead could never catch a break. She was perpetually bullied. Male lead never gave a full fledged effort. Hated the tramp of an ex-wife, and I hope her dad is rotting in hell w/ the fl's dad. At least we got a happy ending for our ml and fl.

Well, the great minds that created this site provide a reply button for folks that decide to give their opinion/input on posts. If you are not prepared to see replies, both positive and negative, then perhaps you shouldn't be posting on message boards. Now I have better things to do with my day than continue to trade quips with you. Please enjoy the rest of your day :)

What episode?
Right, because 7 sentences are considered long... SMH. How many of us were not hardheaded at 17? Also, if you watch, the fact that the stepmom saw her face when she met with her father is completely irrelevant. It's 11 years later. Stepmom didn't realize who Liuli was until she was told, dear. Again, haters are looking for things to criticize. Have a nice day, and I suggest daily positive affirmations to rid yourself of seeking negativity.

Title Weaving a Tale of Love Spoiler
What episode?
I am sorry, but are you referring to episode 5 when her father would not allow her to come home after she had to escape from the palace in effort not to be exposed by the people who framed her mother? Does "showing her face and exposing herself " actually mean walking the streets with nowhere to go so people actually had to see her pretty face??? That's all she was doing for like a brief moment because she was homeless, sweetheart. The reason she was idly walking is BECAUSE SHE HAD NOWHERE TO GO...yet. There is a method to the madness if you pay attention instead of criticize the FL for no real apparent reason. Again, the hate the FL gets is totally unwarranted. I have a feeling I know why a lot of the female viewers are hating...

I couldn't disagree more with the negative comments this drama is getting. The naiveté of the female lead in the first handful of episodes is pretty typical for these types of dramas. Please be patient, you are in for a treat well before episode 10! I think the FL is beautiful and brave. She went through so much trauma already and she just turned 18 years old. Please give her a break! There are beautiful actors, above par acting, amazing sets, spectacular wardrobe, and a great storyline. Few episodes have been released, and viewers are really impatient to see how things are going to pan out thus criticizing every insignificant detail. It's really ridiculous, especially the amount of hate the female lead is getting. I can only guess viewers may be a bit jealous of her, which is actually quite strange. I'll continue to watch and enjoy, and you should too!

Loving this drama so far! The younger actress playing the female lead role is terribly adorable. Male lead is a cutie and I am loving the storyline. The set, wardrobe, plot, cast all look amazing, and I have to say, the villians are even doing a great job, because I literally hate them! Well done...so far.

I've been waiting to watch this one since forever! Fated General, Zhao Ge, and Joy of Life 2 are my most anticipated dramas. I hope we get surprise releases for these films next year, kind of how the release of The Wolf almost shocked me into a coronary this year. Ha! While I'm thinking about it, it'd also be great to see Legend of Bai Qing soon. I wonder if the controversy surrounding Fan Bing Bing is what is holding that one up. Nonetheless, I bet that's going to be a great drama too, and I can't wait to watch.

Title The Legend of Xiao Chuo Spoiler
I want to ask something to you guys why in this type of stories/dramas does the ML stays around the FL and help…
Sure. Well, to briefly sum it up, SML was obsessed with FL from first time he laid eyes on her. Before their first meeting he was already in the works to usurp the throne to become emperor. By the time FL met the SML, she was already in love with Han DeRang (ML). SML and FL meet by chance. Later, SML, sickly and bedroom bound drawing pictures of FL to pleasure himself to in his free time (Ha!). Meanwhile, FL and ML finally get engaged. SML (who DEFINITELY knows his bff, the ML, is already engaged to FL) convinces ML to set up a meeting between him and FL's father (who is helping SML get the throne) *SHADY* During this meeting SML convinces FL's father to allow him instead to marry FL and by doing so FL will become empress. FL's father sneakily agrees although he knows full well he already agreed to allow ML the FL's hand in marriage. This is so disgusting, IMO. ML and FL attempt to runaway to be together, but they get caught, ML gets his a$$ handed to him by royal guards, FL gets reprimanded and pretty much imprisoned in her room until the day of her wedding to the sickly, disloyal prick, who will thankfully die after a few years, so she can finally marry the love of her life (or let's just be honest, every female's love as he is so darned cute!) who is ML. Hope that helps!

I think Miss Li who is in love with Han DeRang is actually a decent and quality partner for him. From the beginning it appears their parents were trying to play matchmaker for them. I hope he can find some happiness with her. After all, it's better than being heartbroken while watching YanYan have a whole relationship and make babies with his best friend.

I'm not going to continue to rehash my thoughts on this issue. Strange you are still baffled after having read the comments where I've explained my OPINION in detail. That really says a lot about your comprehension skills. All the best to you, and please continue to enjoy the show! :-)

"Don't make it sound like you agree on such terminology?" Honey, I thought I established earlier that although I believe the term is somewhat of an exaggeration here, I AM NOT AGAINST THE IDEA OF USING THE TERM IN THIS PARTICULAR CIRCUMSTANCE. I laid out my reasoning for why exactly I believe the term IS, in fact, valid. The reason I took offense to your comment, in general, is because you seem to have a problem with the viewpoints of others and would prefer folks not to comment if it doesn't follow your own specific guidelines of being positive, in lieu of negative WHICH SOME OPINIONS ON ALL COMMENT BOARDS WILL INEVITABLY BE. That is why people who read comment boards, but are sensitive to negativity or certain topics should practice some discretion when deciding to read comment sections. After all, you cannot force or or even tell anyone not to comment just because you don't like what they have to say. Enjoy your day...or night wherever you so happen to be in the world.

I never said or implied that the picture was the reasoning for him making her a "sex-slave." Of course the term is an exaggeration of her role, but his infatuation with her was physical initially as he had no knowledge of her political views. Ha! After they marry, while they are sitting on the bed they have a 10 second discussion where she says she will "obey" him as she is his now wife and he asks her if she'll sleep with him. That's what he wants...to screw her. He does this figuratively by ruining her engagement to his best friend then literally after he wife's her. Very condescending comment for someone to make without truly understanding my point.

Moral of the story: If a buddy ever comes up to you and says "Hiya - will you forgive me and still support me…
Well, considering Han Derang grew up with Mingyue, I am sure he wouldn't have expected Mingyu to pull this one on him. Honestly, Yan Yan agreed to the secret rendezvous with Mingyu, so she shouldn't have been shocked. She was just as clueless as Han DeRang.

I am sorry, but it is literally driving me nuts that so many commenters actually believe Mingyu truly stole his best friend's fiance because he needed her to gain support. Nonsense. He was obsessed with her, so he took her...simple. Being sickly and all, he was already making moves to become emperor before he even met her. If he wasn't confident in his bid to take the throne and be successful without stealing his best friend's fiance then he should have never taken the bold steps to do so. Mingyu is a coward, disloyal with no sense of loyalty and integrity. Period. Alright, I just had to add that, because the fallacy that he was making a political decision to steal YanYan is 100% false. He was already drawing pictures of her to please himself to before he even knew her political views.
