I never thought I’d say this about a Cheng Yi drama (and he was actually incredible in this one) do yourself a favor and don’t watch. Spare yourself the aggravation.

I found it unbearable. In fact, I had to skip many of their scenes because I found their relationship bizarre and perverted.

In my opinion, he is both. To each his/her own though. 🤷

I had the same experience with this drama. 😞

I’m loving this drama so far. Cheng Yi’s acting is incredible here, and the storyline is interesting and Nirvana in Fire-esque, imo.

That may be true, but I think it is imperative to call out the haters. People should know how awesome Cheng Yi (and whomever else is being hated on for no reason is). Attention should be brought to this issue. Hate Is not something that should be silenced. My ancestors taught me that.

Why is this drama score so low? Cheng Yi has sooo many haters! 😞 People, his acting, micro-expressions, and emotions are right on point. Also, this drama is interesting and entertaining. If you are biased or a hater, simply don't vote. Have a conscience.

I am referring to her as in “all used up” in a mental, psychological, emotional, sexual and physical way. The king had his way with her, used her up, then tossed her aside for younger woman once he was done. Han DeRang got what was left. I hate that for him.

Feel free to your own opinion. It doesn’t change my views. Han DeRang deserved better. After she’d bore that cheating manipulative king many children, suddenly she comes back to Han DeRang when she’s all old and worn out. It’s detestable and shameless.

I believe my opinions are valid. The FL quickly got over Han DeRang and birthed many children by the emperor and acted as if she forgot they ever fell in love in the first place. Every time Han DeRang tried to move on with his life, she and that sickly emperor manipulated him to stay. It was ALMOST as bad as how Fu Heng was treated in Yanxi Palace.

The first few episodes leave much to be desired, but it worth it to endure! While this drama is fantasy, it gets better and the romance is top tier! If you are not long suffering thru the first couple of episodes you will miss out.

Anytime I get bored with dramas, I can always come back to FuYao, WeiYoung, or the KDrama Moon Embracing the Sun, and get my entire drama loving life. This one will always be a classic. The chemistry between FuYao and WuJi, I think, is unparalleled. If anyone knows of a similar couple, please do reply to this comment. 💗

Ok, honey. Again, I haven’t watched that scene. I’m not saying it doesn’t exist. I haven’t watched the Long Ballad in quite some time, but I often see YouTube clips which brought me to the comment section here. The reason I believe I recall Changge saying she didn’t want to get married is because that stood out for me in the drama. I am currently watching 3 dramas, but I will rewatch The Long Ballad soon, as I enjoy the eye candy there. Good on the fictional characters if they decided to marry after all.

I must’ve missed that scene. I will revisit it. If I recall correctly, towards the end of the drama Changge said she didn’t want to get married and A’Sun seemed more than pleased to simply accompany her for life.

Absolute madness! Why not just be fans of both? Is acting popularity really such a competition. People should be ashamed of themselves.
