I wonder if they put it in because this is based on a book and thus, the “character reveal”.

i’ve been wondering what the chemistry between WYB and ZYL would be like despite the 10 year age gap. I saw them on the variety show Day Day Up and Yibo is just so awkward and shy. Love your honesty though. Yibo and ZLY have so many super fans and he also has anti-fans...it’s just a mess..haha.

I’m very interested to see what rating it will get. Zhao Liying and Wang Yibo have super fans but chinese netizens can also be brutal.

I don’t know that I can watch Chef Hua because the trailer made me so hungry and I have no way of making/getting that type of food. so regardless of how attractive or great the characters are, I can’t handle the food porn..haha.

I don’t hold my breath when they announce sequels because it’s a lot to coordinate original actors, etc. I was pleasantly surprised when well intended love got a sequel and Romance of Hua Rong is filming their sequel already. But for big budget ones like Princess Agents or Ashes of Love...yea, I don’t think those will happen.

I just looked on weibo and the drama hashtag has 4.1 billion views so it was actually quite popular. Mango is just terrible with subs. I did love the chemistry between the leads so even if not a direct sequel, I’d love to see them in a drama again.

I feel the same way about holding off for a little bit. 58 chapters is a lot! But i guess that’s par for the course for these anticipated dramas.

I saw them drop BTS and i can’t believe it’s coming in just a couple weeks! I totally thought it was going to be a 2021 air date!

i saw that it ended with him hugging another girl at the end of 14 so i’m excited for the slight angst and kiss in trailer to come!

I’ve just been skimming it waiting for more to air before i binge watch. He’s a professor and she’s using him for content inspiration - but how does he start to fall for her? She seems like she’s just following him around as a TA.

I agree! And that scene was intense because ChuXiuMing is so desperate to save his life. he was ugly crying! And then, boom! happy ending for everyone including the two terrible sisters. It definitely needed a better transition.

I really liked this drama too and i liked the natural chemistry between the leads. for some, the female lead was annoying and others didn’t like the story- but i really enjoyed it. it has a high rewatch value for me.

the first time i watched it, i was confused too! i saw the light but felt like the director should have had them look up to acknowledge the elation of being rescued!

that is true!! so many dramas, so many sets...

i skimmed through most of drama and it’s not bad. however, i did notice that in one scene, a character had the same outfit that was worn by male lead in Romance of Hua Rong. It makes me chuckle when low budget dramas reuse costumes.
