That is true! I do like how much he likes her but Legend of Yunxi just tugs at your heart. This is a lighter storyline and the happy ending ultimately makes it better..haha.

i have yet to get into a drama with eden, the male lead...I don’t know if it’s his characters or the writing - but I just can’t stick with it.

they are two separate stories but Blooms At Ruyi has “easter eggs” or references to Legend of Yunxi. I actually think Legend of Yunxi has a more intriguing storyline.

I just watched the four modern episodes on iqiyi app. basically the story is that he’s been waiting a thousand years for her and she’s been dreaming of him. Prince An is her good friend Wen Ping and his character is super fun and jovial in modern episodes. xu jin is slowly dying due to age but by 3rd mini episode, he reunites with RongEr and in 4th mini episode, they are laying in bed together and he’s not aging/dying anymore. These are some cute scenes...production also thanks viewers for waiting for it since it took two years for it to start filming.

I’ve only caught snippets online - but there’s a professor, a student (she’s fake) but she draws comics, and a grandpa...such similiarities to Perfect and Casual but totally different story line. Maybe I’ll wait till more airs to binge watch?

this synopsis is very similar to “Forget you, remember love” which aired this year - but i’m in same boat, i’ll still watch it...haha. nothing like a ceo out of his element with ordinary people and then being all suited up in later episodes..haha

I agree...i’m glad they got their happy ending - but Duke An killing himself all of a sudden was odd. what was with the lightning strike too?? Xu Jin was dedicated and liked her throughout the drama but she was a little flighty.

I’m about to start Ruyi because i loved the leads in Legend of Yunxi. General’s Lady is a light and fluffy watch without a really strong storyline. but if you like leads with chemistry and lots of kisses, this is an easy watch. I also find the leads attractive enough to watch even if story isn’t good..haha..but I thought storyline was decent. And for a romance drama, the fight scenes are done pretty well.

i would say that was my main complaint. half sisters were HORRIBLE and they were one happy family at the end?!?

Kukan channel on youtube says it’s coming soon! Zhang Han has such a long list of unaired dramas.
