I think we are all so used to seeing perfect teeth that we are taken back when they aren’t straight...haha. He has one snaggletooth that could easily be fixed with clear aligners. I noticed his imperfect teeth in Meteror Garden too and now i’m used to it. But I wonder if he and his agency just like his natural look?

yes- it would be totally weird. in the drama, pretty man, they used a different actress for main lead or in evernight, they changed to dylan wang. it’s just not the same when they change it. I wonder if they will go with modern storyline.

I skipped some
parts but basically the king’s 8th brother who is the aunt’s husband was investigating Si Tu for corruption stuff. Si Tu gave the emperor a glass ball and told him to gift it to his brother. the glass ball was a bomb and caused the fire that killed the aunt.

I actually forwarded past a lot of the parts with the reveal but I thought the plant stuff related back to his uncle who was actually taking care of the plants. I really liked Romance of Hua Rong!! i love dedicated male leads. I’m excited for season 2. i saw their booting pics on weibo.

it’s interesting how different the novel is. But that modern day plot twist...really, she’s going to name her main character after a dude she just met?!? the editor’s assistant?? haha! It’s so random. but i do like both leads in modern day clothing. They’re just so cute!

They really did skip them!! and the end of 25 and beginning of 26 are total repeats of the full scene.

agreed that it’s a great watch. only thing that i didn’t like is that the evil sister didn’t get any sort of punishment. but i will probably rewatch series a few times because it’s so light and sweet.

I think I kind of saw the light in the sand scene but they were both still crying! All the director needed to do was have them look up!! hahah! acknowledge they’ve been saved.

And after the older sister pushed Jin, the general told Susu that anyone who hurts his wife will pay....well, pay she did not..hah! She got to pick out fabric at the end!

I still really enjoyed this series and loved Caesar Wu’s character who is loyal and loving towards his wife. I saw on another site that “general’s lady 2” has been approved as a title (doesn’t guarantee a sequel). I wonder if production did the modern scene to give themself another storyline if series does well. The series doesn’t seem to trend on Weibo but has a high heat index on Youku. This series was way better than Sleepless Princess because in that one, the brother storyline killed it for me. It makes me cringe because i feel so bad for the older brother!

the last episode had a really strange transition between scenes. it’s intense as Jin has been captured and is in the sand room. ChuXiuMing drops in but gets stuck himself and it’s emotional and he’s crying that he wants to save her. then, scene cuts to black and it’s a happy scene between emperor and his reunited brother. Anyone else find these transitions so strange? AND, the mean sisters are all of a sudden on good terms after the meaner sister was the one to throw Jin under the bus and get the whole family in trouble?!? Overall very happy ending, but choppy storyline.

I am excited to see him in this role. He was good in Love Equations but I like it when he plays an older character.

ep 8- you find out they are couple in dialogue between jin and the general. he had nothing to be jealous of because susu and rourou have liked each other for a long time.

There’s literally just one scene in ep 22 where his aunt’s death is brought up when he’s talking to ShouShou and he says he will investigate himself when it comes to emperor. so, storyline isn’t totally dropped

Relationship develops faster and way more happy moments. I loved Sleepless Princess at beginning but then it made me sad how much lead couple was apart.

I’m not sure where mydramalist gets descriptions from because i agree that it’s not that accurate. And in further episodes, you see even less military stuff.

Yes!! This!! It’s just a drama that is meant to be enjoyed without overthinking things.
