I'm rewatching the episodes waiting for the finale this weekend and I have to say Yoo Su Bin is hilarious with his role, he played it phenomenally. Just noticed all the extra expressions he pulled off to add personality to his character even when he wasn't in focus. Respect, this cast is immaculate, one of the few times where the casting felt like it fit perfectly. Everybody has been just chef's kiss 👑❄️

I wish this was a 14 episode drama but there's only 2 episodes left so I doubt it'll go into revealing everything that you're looking for. I'm almost certain that the car tampering plotline won't be explored any further in detail since they didn't do anything more after finding out the mechanic was dead. I think if the Queen's father gets arrested for his crimes, then they might just reveal all the crimes he's committed through a news announcement by way of police investigation just to wrap things up neatly since there just isn't enough time to go through each of those events that you mentioned within 2 episodes if they want to focus on the main characters.

I think you'll be disappointed by your expectations then. I personally don't find it important enough since the inference that the Queen's father did it is enough and that's not a stretch by any means since he went as far as to try to kill the Grand Prince through poisoning. Now he's also clearly involved in the council hall explosion which is yet another attempt at Yi An's life except this time it's worse since Yi An is about to become the King. So we know the Queen's Father is more than capable of doing whatever it takes to consolidate power into his family.

It was the Queen's father that did that. He hired that mechanic to tamper with the vehicle and then killed him off. It was pretty clear since he was the one who said it'll be easy to get rid of her which was foreshadowing the car scene that came right after.

She liked him, however it was completely one sided. Grand Prince Yi An was clearly unaware, also he's had a crush on Huiju since highschool if that wasn't blatantly obvious from the earlier episodes.

Absolutely he's definitely someone to look out for as well. It's possible that the focus they put on the Prime Minister in episode 8 could just be a red herring to blindside the viewers from the obvious antagonist. Either the PM is genuinely a good person altogether or he's turned evil due to his envy towards Yi An for marrying Huiju, that's the only two ways it can go at this point based on my reading of the plot thus far.

I definitely agree, the PM and the Royal family have a surface level relationship at best but since it's a constitutional monarchy, decorum has to be maintained between the cabinet and the Crown. That's the main reason why I find it problematic if the PM truly did plant a spy in the palace, since he would almost certainly have to resign from his position if it's exposed that he employed a spy to keep tabs on the palace. Regardless, I'm enjoying the show, hope you are as well and we'll find out who's really pulling the strings at the end of the week.

Oh I didn't say anything about you talking about trust. When I mentioned trust, I meant the relationship between the Crown and the PM, which would easily be compromised if the Royal family finds out that the PM put a spy in the palace regardless of his intentions. I completely understand if you view him as a purely political figure but with the events of episode 8, his actions after Huiju's poisoning completely flipped his image from my perspective although his behavior was unraveling ever so slightly from the beginning since Huiju's engagement.

Putting a spy in the palace compromises his trust with the crown, I don't see why he would want a spy there in the first place, it's not a good look regardless of the intent. I beg to differ on him putting politics above all, the first time he probably lashed out towards the Grand Prince was when Huiju got poisoned, he normally maintains the highest level of respect towards the Royal family but this time was an exception. Personally it looks like he's starting to lose it but we'll see, I'm not saying anything is definitive but from what's been revealed in episode 8, I wouldn't be surprised if the PM is guilty of malice.

I honestly wouldn't have suspected the PM at all, however, the fact that the first person the palace spy reached out to was the PM is what causes a huge implication of complicity.

The palace spy that was revealed in episode 6 shows up to his office in episode 8 with a worried and fear ridden look to her. Furthermore, a palace servant can't just show up unannounced at the office of the PM like that. He didn't look surprised by her sudden appearance which implies he knows who she is. Now if we look at the circumstances of the poisoning attempt, we know that only people at the palace could've put the medication into the wedding goblets. Multiple instances throughout episode 8 points to the culprit being the palace spy(Lee Areum).

I wouldn't have even commented anything regarding this but I've seen comments where people are saying it's Huiju's father that tried to poison Huiju even though we know that it was an attempt at the Grand Prince's life. Seeing these absolutely void of logic conclusions forced me to say what looked to be pretty obvious by the end of episode 8. Sometimes I really wonder if there are children on the other end of these accounts making these comments cause people cannot be this out of touch.

To me it looks pretty obvious that the Prime Minister was trying to poison Grand Prince Yi An, cause when the palace spy was brought into the interrogation room even the interrogator(who works for the PM) looked at her differently hinting that he had foreknowledge of the situation. Afterwards, she showed up to the Prime Minister's office looking scared but his reaction wasn't that of surprise, it was more as if he was annoyed that she couldn't get the job done of poisoning Yi An. I think the Prime Minister is losing his marbles over Huiju since he's in love with her and well that's no surprise because there's a famous quote "The face that launched a thousand ships And burnt the topless towers of llium!"

Byeon Woo Seok owned episode 8, I'm so impressed by how he handled breaking the royal decorum while trying to rein back his emotions after letting it out. IU is always setting the bar but BWS really decided to show up and said I'll take it from here, respect ❄️

Jung Hae-In is a phenomenal actor, he quite literally carried Snowdrop without any exaggeration. Ironically I would say her acting has changed, its gotten worse. My recollection might be off since it's been years but I think Jisoo's attempt at acting in Snowdrop was actually better than whatever she was doing in Boyfriend on Demand especially because her screentime is much higher in BoD than it was in Snowdrop.

The first review I'm seeing with the title 'Sad that looks trumps acting skills' yet literally not a mention of why the acting was inadequate. 12 out of 12 episodes seen, this is what we're doing now?

Oh no, I don't need a breakdown of why you don't like the acting. My comment earlier about the people complaining about bad acting isn't actually about you but moreso about the people who have already written reviews for the drama with the headline about acting yet the review didn't contain anything about the acting. Furthermore to answer your question about Jisoo's acting, yes I did and the people that I responded to didn't really have much to say back since it isn't really something debatable when you look at it objectively. I'm not gonna go in depth about her acting on this comment section as it's unrelated but Jisoo has little to no experience and didn't show any signs of being able to handle leading roles and yet was given them which makes sense from the viewership angle because her global popularity is a huge advantage. However, from a pure acting standpoint casting Jisoo for anything more than a minor supporting role is willful negligence. I actually cried from watching Jisoo trying to act in BoD, getting through that drama was an uphill battle.

Not at all, criticism is fair. I watched Boyfriend on Demand and Jisoo's acting was probably the worst I've seen. But if you're gonna say the acting is bad you should explain why it's bad, I'm sure quite a few people have watched 'When Life gives You Tangerines' and that should be enough to advocate for IU's acting capability which is immaculate btw. Also people who say the acting is great can also be fangirling, I don't think that's a surprise to anyone. Two things can be true at the same time, I'm sure there are genuine criticisms and compliments in both.

Oh no wonder because the scene where they were doing the fittings for the wedding, I genuinely was reminded of Jang Uk's robe from season 1 when I An wore the robe. It looked nearly identical, that's pretty cool Easter egg even though it was probably unintentional 😂

what I've noticed from the people complaining about the acting haven't actually specified anything regarding the acting. it's just "bad acting" and I really think this all stems from a hatred they have towards the cast because there is no way this is bad acting. There are bad actors out there and this main cast is definitely not part of that crew. Bad acting? Show yourself out.
