I hate closed captions, I wasn't even aware of the fact that they're subpar in interpretation compared to just regular English subtitles. Genuinely makes me angry when it says stuff like [Birds chirping] or [glass shatters]. I understand that they are SDH but when some titles on Netflix especially anime only have English [CC] it basically makes it unwatchable for myself. Thanks for helping people out though, I'm surprised nobody was bothered enough by the closed captions to actually open up the subtitle settings and change it. Just another reason to never watch with closed captions.

I probably should've clarified that this drama is what's gravely insulting to Muslims and that's the main issue here. People expressing their distaste over the fact that the writer specifically pulled from passages in the Qur'an to write a story that romanticizes and glorifying the Devil is genuinely deplorable. The fact that they could've simply wrote a fantasy that wasn't tied to the Islamic belief makes it even more infuriating, the people responsible for ultimately approving of this story should've known better. Firstly, calling the 1-star ratings (there's also an option to give 0.5 stars) "malicious" ignores the fact that this is exactly how people show their disapproval as reviews exist so audiences can express their opinions, whether positive or negative. Muslims giving a low rating to something that mocks their faith is no different than any other group rejecting content that insults their values. Second, brushing it off by saying "people will forget in a week" doesn't make it any less of a mockery, it just shows you don't understand the depth of the issue. Furthermore, your claim that you "wouldn't want to be part of a religion that teaches this" is both laughable and misguided. Islam doesn't teach people to be petty, it teaches us to defend what is sacred and never treat the ultimate truth as a joke. That's not weakness, that's bonafide strength, and that's exactly one of the reasons lslam stands head and shoulders above other belief systems. Muslims are not lukewarm individuals, this response that you're witnessing is a testament to the innate respect Muslims have for God. Lastly, in case the irony of your comment about "review bombing is malicious" was missed on you, insulting the religious belief of a group of nearly 2 billion people is actually malicious.

No it's because on average Christians don't really stand up for their faith which is why when Christianity is mocked, it's often overlooked now. You can walk the streets of a soo called "Christian country" and wear a shirt that slanders Jesus (PBUH) and nothing will happen, do that same thing in Saudi and I promise you'll most likely be arrested by the authorities for insults towards a messenger of Allah. Muslims on average are much stronger in defending Islam and that's the reason why this show is receiving backlash because Muslims do not take Islam as a joke.

Light Rail Transit (LRT) but I'm guessing they call it LTR in South Korea. Essentially they're planning to build a subway station in the new headquarters that will require the space that's currently in use by the restaurant so the trains can operate in the area therefore, the restaurant would have to be demolished in order to build it. I wasn't gonna comment but I was viewing this profile and I realized it's also get birthday so might as well. In episode 2 of Resident Playbook where she hurries back to the hospital because she thought the patient passed away but then the patient just sneaks up on her from behind saying she just switched rooms. She says "Good for you" followed with that little "hmmph" made me fall in love 😳. Afterwards her tearing up while she's dressing the wound and the conversation she has with the patient, incredible acting. Probably rewatched that scene 3-5 times, both beauty and talent was on display right there, I'm rooting for her 👑

it's honestly a great k-drama, I don't understand people who watch the first episode of a drama and then just give it a low rating, just drop the show, why even bother rating it? I immediately started watching this show as soon as I saw the rating was in the low 7's because I can completely disregard the rating since it was done by people who are probably bonafide haters.

To be fair though, Kim has had a lot of experience acting in Keeping up with the Kardashians. However, I do get your point and it's perfectly sound, I genuinely hope Jisoo invests in professional acting training to improve her craft. Following this underwhelming performance, it would be beneficial for her to start with supporting roles, honing her skills and gradually working her way up to more prominent roles. This would allow her to build confidence, refine her technique, and ultimately deliver more compelling performances in the future. Also, you should watch Snowdrop – Jung Hae-in is a phenomenal actor and he put on a showcase as usual.

Yeah I don't know if you've watched Snowdrop but that actually is her acting capacity. Unfortunately she hasn't improved in the last 3-4 years. Watching this show I realized that instead of seeing the character she's supposed to portray, l'm just watching Jisoo trying to act.

yeah her acting was sublime, she's become my favourite actress after this performance. I saw her in The Glory and I hated her because of how well she played the villain that her character lingered in my mind so I had an automatic distaste for her going into this drama and within the first episode she completely changed my mind. This is when I was reminded of what it truly means to have range. She is incredibly beautiful & extraordinary as an actress.

I intend to watch the rest of this since I already watched 4 episodes which means I'm halfway done. If it makes you feel any better though, I won't comment anymore until I've completed this and I feel like giving my final thoughts (probably won't though) unless someone specifically replies to any of my previous comments then I might or not we'll see. Regardless I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings cause if it really is the best drama you've seen in decades then I understand why you're not open to any criticism.
