Sooo I just started ep 14...the way I was clutching my pearls as the scene opens with where we left off on ep 13...and my dude just drops her š« legit all my emotional buildup suddenly vanished and I'm rotfl š¤£
I doubt that its been like 300+ years but fr hopefully
I think if Iām correct in the preview for ep 24, HRY tried to bring him back when BJS escaped and struck her. so maybe thereās a possibility that they can bring him back.
thanks for the review. I'm a lady truck of doom and I don't like players, male or female.Shame cause the male…
I need to make a correction the FL wasnāt a player. Her first love died years before she and the ML even met. The ML knew about him since the beginning. In fact the ML also had an ex who was Moās mother. She betrayed him and married his senior brother, but the ML still felt a sense of responsibility for her family after his senior brother died. This isnāt a traditional romance where either of them went into the relationship expecting it to blossom into romance. They met by chance, slowly became friends, and healed each other. In the end they were willing to let their past go because they grew individually from knowing each other. Neither of them ever said they loved each other, it was communicated through action. Before she left the valley to go treat a patient she buried her childhood lover symbolizing her readiness to make another commitment. She didnāt choose to die in someone elseās arms it just happened. She canāt control death like many characters, sometimes the white truck of doom just claims them lol.
In terms of manipulation, this drama is literally an exploration of the dilemma of false hope. Giving the ML and his Moās mother false hope, so they donāt give up on living anymore is the FLās flaw and the narrative doesnāt reward her actions.
I'm getting familiar with how all 3 series are connected. So, Sword and Beloved is the story of their son I see.…
From a chronological perspective I agree that LIP should have aired first. However, from an adaptation perspective, it made sense for RMP to be released first because it was the primary story from the Manhua/animation. the adaptation of LIP and S&B were the side arcs depicted within RMP original story. I wouldnāt say they chose to release RMP on the basis that there were more bigger actors in that one but rather the opportunity to capitalize on the Fox Spirit Matchmaker Franchise that had a strong support for the story of Tushan Honghong and Dongfang Yuechu.
the only thing that's keeping su yu from being fully annoying to me is that I still remember him as "biao ge"…
Weāre on the same boatā¦the only thing thatās keeping Mu Ran Wu from being fully annoying for me is that I still love her as āXueyue sword deity Li Hanyiā from Blood of Youth lol
I did 1 year as a plug, it wasnāt mentioned explicitly in the drama. but between the period where they visited the capital to the moment she died, a lot of things happened. assuming that she died 18 years ago it would have made sense for that period to last around a year
Although ep 1 is the fake legend of her death, the timeline is correct with ep 7. it occurred at the same time except version 1 is exaggerated from the truth. So her death did occur 18 years ago
Their meeting occurs 22 years before present day. He trained with her for 3 years before getting his golden core. Wei Jiu mentioned this when he asked MQG to accept him as a disciple in the episode where they visited the capital.
Everything went south in the remaining 1 year gap. Year 22(meeting) - 3yrs(training) - 1yr(war) = Year 18(MQG death)
How MRW plotted to kill MQG: this was glossed over within the 1yr warring period during the flashback. These plot points should be revealing as the drama airs similar to how they were revealed in the novel.
, what I like is an equal relationship between them and not make comedy scenes just on ml that makes him so weak…
Bold of you to assume itās the keyboardās issue lol. But otherwise, well said!
I agree with the points you made, and for the sake of not being redundant, Iāll just add 2 points.
On the subjective view of the ML and FL not having equality in their relationship because the ML appears more childish and possessive, Iād say thatās inaccurate. SM has been depicted since the beginning as strong and capable, but often makes decisions based on emotions which has a 50/50 outcome of begging good or bad (My boy is smart but often neglects consequences because he simply doesnāt care). It is consistent with his character even in his relationship to take on a more active role. Heās not foolish, just passionate. Additionally, he was excited and prepared to consummate the marriage since day 1 because that was just societal norms (even for loveless marriages, not to mention in their situation both married with affection). DZ has intimacy issues from past trauma which is also consistent with her character. I think the show handled this plot well by letting her ease into it while also adding comedic elements.
Finally, regarding jealousy: SM can freely express his jealousy because heās pretty much been a free spirit in terms of expressing emotions. DZ on the other hand has always been reserve and private with her thoughts and emotions. It'd be out of character for her to express any jealousy.

Iām pretty sure someone posted an extra of that clip in the discussions thread.
Hereās the clip of her and child Dongfang Yuechu
