The love triangle is a corner piece to this story as this is how the FL sorts out her feelings for the Immature,…
I read your article. Very helpful. Thanks for the rec. I was leaning toward watching the Japanese versions previously, so I'm definitely going to try and watch it soon.
Although I haven't watched it personally, I've heard a lot of bad things from friends about the Korean adaption of Hana Yori Dango. From what I've heard, JanDee is really annoying and there are a lot of stupid scenes that cross the line of realistic into crazy.
I also really hate love triangles, so that is another negative aspect of the drama for me. I don't mind small ones, where the viewers know from the beginning who likes or will like who, but I really despise the one where one of the leads are indecisive of their feeling and end up causing a lot of pain and suffering to the other leads because of their indecisiveness.
Is there any adaption in the Hani Yori Dango franchise that doesn't have major love triangles and annoying female/male leads? I want to give this drama a chance so, I would really love it if anyone could recommend me a drama from the franchise that doesn't have the above cliches.
I liked almost everything about this drama; from the tension, suspense-filled scenes to the sweet, heart-touching moments between 16-year olds, Na Moo and Nak Won.
The only aspect that was lacking for me was the romance between the older, 28-year-old version of Na Moo and Nak Won. I felt that it was a bit boring and the show would have been much better without the dull romance between the older version of Na Moo and Nak Won. That's not to say, that I would have liked the show if it was completely taken out because then we wouldn't have been able to see the sweet-budding romance between the younger versions of the main leads in the flashbacks. (idk, maybe I wasn't in the mood for this type of romantic relationship drama).
Is it the type of love triangle, where the female lead has conflicting feeling for both the male leads, or is it the type where we know from the start that the female lead loves one guy and doesn't reciprocate the other male lead's feelings?
I'm not sure if being a giseang means being a prostitute or an entertainer. I've seen it being defined as both…
Since this drama is set in modern times. I'm guessing it's the latter option, but I read some contrasting comments about the main female lead being a paid mistress to some old guy, so I'm recondidering watching this.
I'm not sure if being a giseang means being a prostitute or an entertainer. I've seen it being defined as both and sometimes only one or the other in various saeguk dramas. What type of gisaeng is the main female lead in this drama?
Chairman Byun, Eun Hyuk, and Mr. Bang were amazing supporting characters. I think them, Ji Chang Wook and the first conflict made this drama a worthwhile watch. I don't really like how the romance digresses during the last couple episodes.
While watching this I often got some scenes confused with "While You Were Sleeping". They both give off the same vibes.
the romance is lackluster. I had to force myself to keep watching from around episode 7 or 8. It was a boring drama. 30% of my 6/10 review was because I wasn't in the mood for this type of drama. The rest 70% was because of the poorly executed romance and boring, predictable plot towards the second half of the drama. I also really hated the female villain. I don't really have a good reason for hating her besides that she wasn't the cold and regal/elegant woman I was expecting to see. then again I'm still on episode 13 so maybe I could be wrong.

oops sorry. I didn't realize that it was a different lakorn. I haven't watched this lakorn yet and was just about to download all the episodes. I was confused because of the title. Thanks for the correction.
