I get that the "BL" genre has it flaws but like in the movies is a BL. BL basically means a love story between…
I completely disagree. BL literally means boys love, it's a genre created by young women mostly for a young woman audience, they tend to focus on idealized relationships. I've seen hundreds of BLs and it is by far my favorite genre. All gay shows aren't BLs and that is not criticism of anything. Distinguishing between BLs and shows about gay people is not wrong and doesn't downplay either type of show. Every genre has flaws, I don't see how hoping for more shows that depict realistic gay relationships is a comment on "flaws" in BL, but we're all entitled to our opinions and I'm not asking you to agree with mine. I comment only to share my observations of things I've seen.
I really enjoyed this a lot. I thought the episodes with OhmFluke and KimCopter would be my favorites since I loved their previous shows together, but I ended up liking the XinMoojoom and TitanMini episodes the most. All 6 episodes were fun though.
Most Japanese BLs that I've seen have flawed characters who are in many ways unlikable. Nagisa is no exception.…
It's sad that Shun, Nagisa and Rena spent so much time denying what they wanted because they had to fit into society. I hope that they consider what's best for Sora and stop treating her like a prize that goes to the winner. All in all it's realistic portrayal of divorce more than a BL. Shun's growth and acceptance of himself were the best parts of the movie for me.
Most Japanese BLs that I've seen have flawed characters who are in many ways unlikable. Nagisa is no exception. I liked the prequel more, but this was still a strong movie and I loved Sora.
I'm kicking myself for watching this, I loved the show sooooo much and this ruined it. BLs sequels are almost…
Everything I loved about Xavier was destroyed within minutes of this movie starting. I love Mico and Crystal's strength and I want nothing but happiness for both of them. Yes, she shouldn't have put Xavier in that situation, but he never told her how he felt about Mico so I can't really blame her for trying to hold on to her relationship when her world was crashing down.
I wish the writers hadn't made Xavier into such a people pleaser. There was a specialness in the XavMi relationship on the show but all that was lost because he wanted to make others happy and in the end he still picked Mico so the outcome is still what it would have been if he'd just stayed with Mico after the finale.
I didn't need the writer character to randomly show up and make an almost love triangle, why was he even there? I also really cared about Kookai and Seph on the show but for the sake of conflict they ruined Kookai for me.
Yeah there were happy endings, but it seems like this got made so the cast and crew could have a fun vacation. And the audience had to suffer through an hour and a half of betrayal. A movie about XavMi getting more comfortable with their love in a post covid setting and being honest with their friends and family could have been beautiful, but that will never happen.
I'm kicking myself for watching this, I loved the show sooooo much and this ruined it. BLs sequels are almost always disappointing, this one is no exception. But Miss Tina is still wonderful so it's not all bad.
I absolutely loved this. For me this was the best online relationship show since covid. I appreciated the sincerity of all of the characters and the relationships were beautiful. Miss Tina is a gem and I even cared about the straight couple (for once).
Great if you want a story heavy on religion, tears, loud squealing, men referring to each other as sis, "destiny" and coin flipping with 20 something year old actors portraying high schools who behave like middle schoolers. I personally don't want to see that, so this didn't work for me. I'll skip the sequel.
I would love to see an Asian BL that doesn't portray effeminate men in such a stereotypical way.
Cool premise that usually works in BL comics, but this was really bad. No one is given anything to do, I never…
Why can't these tropes die?!?! Using an innocent girl because you can't admit you're gay and then breaking her heart, an evil parent who only exists to keep the couple apart, not gay but this guy is so special I'll be gay this one time. I'd be angry but no one involved in the production of this cared, so I won't either.
Cool premise that usually works in BL comics, but this was really bad. No one is given anything to do, I never believed that the leads were in love and the second couple that actually had chemistry had barely any screen time. All of the BL tropes that I hate most were here...
There was an honesty that I really appreciated, but the way violence, rape, suffering and HIV just kind of happened to move the plot along was jarring. Of course these things happen to gay men and that should never be ignored, but it was so simplified that the whole story felt somewhat empty and outdated.
I liked it, but I didn't love it. I appreciated the cute innocence of the show but in some ways it felt like it dragged and in some ways it felt rushed at the end. I'd watch a season 2, but I didn't connect to it like I usually do with Japanese BLs.
Come on, how is this rated so high???? It's bad, like really really bad. The writing, the direction, the acting all bad. I don't hate it though, it seems like everyone involved tried, but it's still not good at all. I'll watch the sequel because the last 5 minutes were intriguing, but they could have told a better story in 4 thirty minute episodes.
Riveting! The songs summed it all up. The story is heartbreaking, kinda scary and powerful. I love BLs with horror elements, but the best part of this series is the chemistry between Jeff and Gameplan. If they signed to a bigger company, both would be HUGE stars. Watch "Ingredients" if you haven't :)
It was bland, I didn't dislike it, but i never believed they were in love and wasn't given a reason to root for their relationship. I appreciate BLs about working adults, but the cartoon villain and random character motivations made this feel underwhelming.
It's hard to have patience for shows that after 12+ episodes give you no reason to believe in the main characters' relationship when stories like this one exist. I was rooting for Xiang and Vic the whole time, the story was brief, bittersweet and powerful. Yes I wish it were longer, but the writer/director used the time effectively and made something really special.
