That was exhausting. BL sequels are almost always less enjoyable than the original series and this is no exception. I'm glad I binged it over a few days, because if I'd this weekly when it originally aired I'd have dropped it along the way. Weird pacing, repetitive dialogue, drawn out "storyline" where nothing really happens, lacl of conclusion for most of a pairs and a constant roller-coaster of emotions just made me tired, bored and underwhelmed. If it ended after 8 episodes, it would have been fine or even good, but the final episodes ruined the good will I had towards the show and most of the characters. I never loved the original TharnType series, but after watching this I feel bad for the fans. They deserved a better written sequel.
Episode 2 was even better than episode one. So far I am adoring the writing and the chemistry between FahThorn. It's only January and it feels like this is gonna be one of the best BLs of 2022 😁
About half your comment is posted separately below for some reason. But I agree. I suspect you'll like Ep 6 even…
I deleted my extra comment. It's weird that it did that, but thanks for letting me know. Dang. I didn't watch episode 6 yet, but based on your comment. I might skip it and watch the last 3 episodes ne t week. Yeong Woo isn't great, but for me he's the only reason to watch.
I loved Quaranthings and its imperfect characters so I gave this a chance and I shouldn't have. I had to force…
For the most part, I watch BL to see 2 people fall in love, but I appreciate when things aren't so simple. I was glad that this wasn't about 2 people destined to be together forever. The problem was that I can't remember many shows with semes that were this unlikeable.
The enternal optimistic and the enternal pessimistic will never fall in love, so why did they make 8 episodes? It felt like Reb NEVER stopped talking about EVERYTHING he was thinking, he was pretty much a never ending greeting card and I just wanted him to stop talking. On the other hand, JM was mean for at least 7/8 episodes. He needed therapy not a relationship and by the end I just wanted them to separate and be done.
I was glad the show ending the way it did, but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I don't need a happy ending to enjoy a show, but I also don't want to feel like I've wasted 4 hours of my life watching a below average show.
I loved Quaranthings and its imperfect characters so I gave this a chance and I shouldn't have. I had to force myself to finish it. This did not work for me at all, I wouldn't watch a sequel.
Seeing all the positive comments makes me think I'm watching a different show. I want to like this, I REALLY do. I'll support KBLs no matter what, but for me the only good thing here are the conversations between Yeong Woo and his dad. The "love" between Yeong Woo and Ki Jin doesn't feel believable and neither does the conflict in episode 5. Ki Jin's "acting" is bad, REALLY bad. I've been given no reason to care about any of the characters besides Yeong Woo. I wish this was better.
This shouldn't exist. It's just a clickbait title with no script, no heart and barely any acting. Every scriptwriter and director of a Thai series should be required to watch this to ensure they don't make the same mistakes.
The actors deserve better and so does the audience.
I really loved this. Rocky and Ju are flawed characters who have an imperfect relationship. But they felt like actual people instead of a fantasy version of people. They dealt with difficult circumstances and even though I didn't love the side characters this was one of my favorite series of 2020.
I'm kinda nervous to watch the sequel. BL sequels almost always disappoint me and I don't want to have another Hello Stranger experience 😢
I'm really enjoying this show. For me Gun is the best actor and I'll watch him in anything, but I love Off and Mond too. I'm sad that it doesn't have huge ratings, but it's understandable given the difficult topics it's tackling. It's very much a slow burn and there are A LOT of storylines going on at the same time.
I think many people came in expecting just a BL and when they didn't see that in the early episodes, they stopped watching. I hope more people give it a chance, there are actually a few LGBTQ storylines and I hope they all get developed. I can't wait to see more from Yok and Dan and also find out more about Gram and his ex girlfriend!
For the most part I've liked the short Korean BLs that have come out in the last couple of years. Usually they've been able to tell a full story with limited run time. Yes, I'm often left wanting more, but I'm still able to see a connection between the characters and believe in their love. But, Tinted With You and Behind Cut aren't doing it for me. Both are quickly running out of episodes and have relationships that are lacking depth. I haven't been given a reason to care about the characters or their "love" so it feels kinda empty with each epsiode. I hope the upcoming SK BLs are better.
It was pretty good. It glossed over some important topics that BLs almost never touch on. This was a nice addition,…
Krisha was an amazing person. I'm glad the writers let her be angry and glad she got a happy ending, but she deserved better. Overall Barry and Mando were very likeable, but I wished they hadn't betrayed her like that. It will always taint the foundation of their relationship. At the very least, they should have told her as soon as they got back from the trip, but that would have ruined the pacing of the show.
It was pretty good. It glossed over some important topics that BLs almost never touch on. This was a nice addition, but 6 episodes wasn't enough to tell the complete story in an impactful way. I think there should have been 2 more episodes after episode 5 before the finale. But Kokoy was amazing, he owned the character. He's such a strong actor!
For me this was pretty much flawless. Chahub and Best had better chemistry in 10 minutes than many on screen couples do after 10 episodes. I don't mind a simple plot when actors work so well together. I'm praying the full show airs in June 🙏
If you're looking for a regular BL this probably won't be enjoyable, but it was intriguing and very compelling. It seems like they planned for a season 2, but I guess it won't be happening. That's sad because it feels really unfinished, but that's not a criticism.
I feel like I missed the scenes where they fell in love, but overall I don't dislike the show. It's short and sweet, it could be better, but it could also be MUCH worse.
Perfectly blissfully beautiful, all sequels should be this non-problematic. It would have been flawless without Lhong and the dad, but everything else was wonderful.
