The most shocking aspect for me about this drama is the lack of use of fake blood. They stab and kill 62527637371637282 people with swords, blades and all kinds of objects but there’s not ONE drop of blood 🩸 used. ( check episode 4 minute 18….. that sword is as clean as new🤣) .They saved a lot of money making this series, I’ll tell you that! The effects, makeup and costumes are not specially great to be honest 🥴.

Sorry but there’s nothing believable about this drama , the boxing part is just not done good (the boxers don’t even have muscles, you can’t tell they haven’t even worked out in their lifetime) and the relationship is just forced, the chemistry is non existent. Acting is good and the story is not bad and it saves the drama but the execution and quality is not there…. Still entertaining enough to pass the time if you have nothing else to watch.

I absolutely loved this drama, ( although the last episodes were a bit flat and they could have closed better everything with each character and plots…. But it was satisfying enough i guess.
But to me There was a very frustrating character to mention though. The second male lead, Jiang Zhan. Its was The most heartbreaking character I have ever seen written, he is terribly underused in the drama and his story with the female lead had such huge potential, it is actually criminal . They give him the most painful and heartbreaking backstory and fate and didn’t even give him a chance to shine or have any resolution or do anything at all but to be a puppet and suffer. I don’t think I felt such pain and frustration for a character in a long time… am I the only one feeling this upset?
And Don’t get me wrong, I adore the main couple and im obsessed with their chemistry!!! Such beautiful live story and all. But I just feel like the story of the Origin of the Scorpion Eye and the two founders/friends was so awesome! Wasted potential!
