It really breaks my heart that XZ is fighting with himself all the time to resist, and now needs to ask ShenLi for help to contain himself. He's sooo close to breaking.

I'm glad they talked, because right before this she was assuming he's just playing with her like a pet for fun. But you see him outside having conversations he wants to have with her, but can't say. T_T

Aww sorry I shouldn't have been so harsh. I'm glad you liked it! It's different from the novel, so I think from a novel readers perspective I had high hopes and was disappointed. I liked Bai Lu and Xu Kai, but other than that, there were storyline changes,some editing problems, and they added a lot of fillers to the end.

Where it really hurts is he was saying "I understand our statuses are different (leadership and subordinate) and she goes "it's not about status..." so it becomes ambiguous, like it could work if not for her marriage situation?

My favorites are Shen Li and Zhao Yao. If we can go back in time, I wish they could've made The Legends this way, rom-com xianxia. The book Ostentatious Zhao Yao is very funny.

Yeah I'm sure it was cut, some scenes felt jagged, and what we were shown doesn't jive with what Youlan was talking about with him.

We get that, but its on both of them. He rejects her, she rejects him, and says just be yourself, "you're not XY to me and I won't like an ancient God". He's now being himself, and she's fallen again because she just likes him for who he is. He doesn't know what he's doing, emotions are new to him, and he's been so lonely for so long. He's jealous, shes jealous. Just naturally what happens for people in these situations.

I'm willing to look forward to his acting career! He just needs to notch up his charisma, because his looks are okay but not unique (like Deng Lun). He seems a bit more reserved in real life so making news would do him good.

But they release weekly air schedules, I've seen dramas just dump the end sometimes rapidly. Don't know their plan.
