Haha exactly, I remember first reading the novel and thinking I don't like the ML, but by the end, I was riveted. On reread, I was in love with him. This drama is going through the same thing for viewers lol

You're absolutely right! I haven't thought of it, so I can't recall any SL lines right now. You'll find out in the drama, for sure. It's very very similar to the novel, almost line for line.

That scene broke me, too. Also finally Shen Li found out he never married, and died in that courtyard alone. In the novel she was hoping he probably forgot her in a year or so and found someone else to keep him company.

It makes sense to her, because XY never reciprocated her love. Pretending to be strangers, was being kind and finally she understood. I thought this scene was fantastic, especially XZ's facial expressions, him closing his eyes, him desperately trying to convey "i AM the same guy... that you loved." He also told her (while she was drunk) that he CAN'T love.

The arc where he's denying he is XY but sticking to her!! People said he was boring, cold, wants to kill SL, annoying etc. etc . The episodes were releasing so slow, so that didn't help.

Hmm you're right, there are a lot less lines than XZ, but her personality is already pretty candid and direct, so she usually already says what she thinks. Because the novel is in SL's POV, so mostly they are her thoughts that are sweet. Such as dreaming of XY, admiring XZ, and how she thinks of XZ every time she gets hurt/close to death.

We are all huge fans so of course I see only positive vibes hehe
