Nah the spirit fragments don't have any JY poeers just whoever it possesses. I think they knew so thats why made it Fake Chiwen/Shilin Sect mission to find and kill 81 of them.

Both devoured him together and came out looking exactly the same. But Li Jie emerged first and he has no memories, except go to Shilin Sect. The other guy remember he works for Jiu Ying.

The evil 6 eyed butterfly demon (hot twins) have the power to absorb/"devour" a person and eat their memories and emerge as their body. Jiu Ying instructed them to devour Yuan Wuhuo. He is the older brother in the illusion, became a demon hunter at Shilin Sect , and grew old with Jiling (As Chiwen). So he's a good guy.

After he is devoured, the cocoon hatched two guys that look like him (Li Jie and Evil Yuan Wuhuo). It's mentioned the memories were hard to absorb so li Jie came out blank, only remembering he lives at Shilin Sect. So Fake Chiwen took him in again, knowing he looks like OG Yuan Wuhuo.

The evil version remembers he works for Jiu Ying. We don't know what he's looking for with the heavenly tablet.

The 6 eyed butterfly demon (2 of them) devoured original Yuan Wuhuo. As to what this YWH knows, I have no idea, but he grew old next to fake ChiWen for like 50years.

So there's two Li Jie faces because there's two guys who devoured one in the cocoon.

Chi Wen is where Jiu Ying's true body is, Dragon's Abyss, sealed by all his 8 brothers as mountains. CW's body is the seal & vessel to hold JY. JY wants to use 10th Dragon to kill Chi Wen to be free.
