Actually he never recovered from it..the natural law didn't really forgive him. His wound wouldn't heal, rocks kept falling from the Extranatural realm. He was only forgiven after he sacrificed to save everyone. That's why the divine light appeared and Shen Li said he is recognized and accepted at death. So then after his friends used the last of their powers to save his life, he was granted a life of his own and freedom to live as a regular immortal, no more AG powers that can change the world.

I was happy to help! I never thought I'd get so involved, I remember spending days trying to convince people to not give up on Xing Zhi in the beginning . Luckily the drama is a good one, and I'm glad everyone stuck it out and loved it.

I'm not one to review dramas or watch currently airing dramas, or even care about what people think because I've always watched dramas on my own. So I have not ever been active on MDL until this drama, and that was random because I anticipated this drama so long due to loving the novel. I was happy with our comment section throughout the broadcast. Most everyone loved the drama and shared so much feedback throughout. I never felt more part of a happier community of drama lovers before!
I checked out a few others now and my gosh, the comments are vicious with a lot of anti fans and wars. I think I'll be gone from MDL soon (until Lost You Forever S2) hope to see some of you guys there, if you have the same tastes as me 😂

The passiveness, its due to his background (HES SUPER OLD and lived for a long time, he's even depressed/thought of dying/literally the lonliest man in the world), and he's seen it all (but not experienced it all, obviously, the love thing). He's given the top tier level of respect in all realms, so he might be a bit arrogant/annoying. The reason he has to be passive really gets explained by ep 21, and it makes so much sense, at least more than in any other Xianxias I've watched.

He's still lonely, but silly and adorkable. He really lets loose at episode 24, and especially lovable in the end (eps 39).

Why should he? It's an alliance marriage and both realms are so antagonistic towards each other, so its seen as a good peace marriage. Shes the only candidate, and her master/king has agreed, and both parties are eligible.
