It is evident he is really confused, and unsure, but he is forcing himself to follow what he thinks are higher standards. I do really think he is trying to keep some distance by being cold and rude, and that he is actually punishing himself in order not to stray from the path. Oh, yeah, and how he pushed gardener from the tree when he said playing an instrument is like falling in love xD it is clear all of these disturb him.

Even though I know all this, it will take some time to forgive him for rudeness around blood amulet stuff. XD I really pitied deeply FL in those moments. And it will also take some time to accept there's no more Lu Li :'( .. ( and I really hate how immortals are so manipulative! There's so much more kindness and warmth from He Na, than almost all of those immortals there).

I agree with you, and it's so funny how he got pissed at that tree ( that was so what Lu Li trying to be the great immortal would do ) XD

I love your comments, each shows really good analysis, deep thoughts and interesting ideas.

I also think they will try to portray him as someone who is strong and logical, who even has cut off his 5 senses ( in context of seduction), and still won't be able to stay away from her. XD I can see he does care for her, her words cut him deep, and he is reminded of his past life, which troubles him immensely, but I have to say he also kinda has to do stuff for her, as she is the Sun goddess, and she is greatly valuable to this whole immortal realm( and in general).
Also, this Luo Ge character is strong on " seeing the real truth to everything" ( I like that truth part about him) . So it's not outta his pure sentiment.

There are aspects to Luo Ge I appreciate, but there are things I really don't. And I don't appreciate how he can be overly rude and cold to her. I also think this is, more than anything, trying to contain himself, and be strict, cruel with himself, than actually hurt her, but still. I really hated how he could look at her straight in her eyes and bargain on her life like it's some kind of a joke. In certain situations he does come across as a big, cold, stiff jerk. At the same time, FL is unreasonable. She acts as if you can actually beg someone to love you.
I love them, they're dear to me, but they really annoy me with their certain behaviors and things they're saying. I can see why people are on the fence, and why some of them are dropping it.
Personally, I'll hold on and see how this all develops. I really miss Lu Li.

hahahahahah well yeah, you're right. He Na is just way more mature and aware of things. He is like a perfect person to come to for advice or help. I love it! For now, these two are very young and complete rookies. Immature kids who love for the first time. But, just to make it fair for them, I do count that He Na is 1000+ years old, while they're... around 18? + she was living a sheltered life of a rich heiress until recently, probably has 0 life experience. lol I expect that they will gain some maturity and insight in the near future, along with discovering their true identities. I also wonder how mature is Luo Ge. I can somewhat understand her, as ML did approach her with dishonest intentions and did hide a lot of things, while BF brainwashed her constantly with doubts, and now that she herself saw there is a lot of things she doesn't know about ML, that there can be serious consequences for that; therefore no strong foundation for trust ( as she doesn't know his character well yet ), she started being affected by BFs claims from before + illusion of the sword. In her immaturity and lack of knowledge she fell victim to her own fears and paranoia ( and the worst part of it , is there's tiny portion of the truth to all that) ( to make it more complex and funny and sad at the same time). Although, I do admit it is laughable how she puts it into " is sword more important than me?", while he's literally giving his life for her. Poor Lu Li. lol My heart goes to him. So I think it's normal we don't have true chemistry yet, as their love isn't true love yet( more of a faint hint/ glimpse of it and way more so on Lu Li's side), and their characters aren't developed yet. I enjoyed your comment a lot, and laughed how directly you put things, and right where they belong. Thank you for that! :D

yes, extra chapters of the novel are happy ending...but the original ending, without extra chapters is kinda sad/ open to interpretation... I hope director went with HE option..

that's okay, too :) in case they really ruin it beyond repair at some point. I kinda threw logic and reasoning outta the window xD and I'm enjoying it so far for what it is, for art, aesthetics of it, symbolism..etc etc . Not taking it too seriously, as it's a Cdrama after all lol. I compared some stuff with novel, and it's hard to pack everything into drama and explain everything well enough, but I hope they don't mess it up completely. Misunderstanding stuff can go way too far sometimes, and ruin a beautiful story.

Because Bai Feng is good at one thing : manipulating. I have to give her that. She's nothing special in general, but this girl knows everyone's weaknesses really well and simply knows what approach works with whom. It's a subtle skill, but a powerful one. She pretended that she had to do what Du guy has told her to do, and that she regrets everything so so much. Did you see how he lost his composure, got really angry and tried to hurt her in front of Marquis Wuyang? She was 'regretful', 'crying' and 'trying to help Du guy even after he hurt her' or that's what Marquis and everyone else saw. They found Demon energy on him, and concluded Demon has put it on him, that he is ' the main conspirator' and Bai Feng is just blackmailed to work for him. lol Don't forget Marquis is aware of his similar mistakes in the past ( that involved demons), and that his thirst for the title is very obvious. He has a motive and means in this case. And when you look at it, it could easily be him. He is equally wicked as BF, that smile when he thought Marquis is dead is truly creepy. He's just not as smart and talented at manipulating as BF. Marquis is probably thinking of keeping a close eye on both, and if something comes up again, Bai Feng will bear harsher consequences.

It's not that huge misunderstanding, they have a problem of trust in ep 10 and they got back by the ep 12... lol ..(well FL actually has doubts because ML wasn't completely honest from the beginning .. ML never doubted her and loves her to the point of sacrificing his own life and he proves this time and time again). Now I understand what actor meant when he said he was very touched by ML love. Anyway, she decides to put aside her doubts and they are focused on loving each other and trusting each other now, but I already see there will always be a lot of obstacles for that, and there will be more misunderstandings, probably until the very end XD " the opposing sides" "forbidden love" trope.

Exactly, it's not actually because of the sword, but because her judgement is clouded, and she isn't sure if she should trust him or not. But illusion of the sword was definitely a strong one, and they both left it very affected by it. He Na is old and wise, and definitely helpful, it actually isn't a bad decision to go to him for advice or help. But this whole time I really feel bad for Lu Li....

I talked to people down in the comments about that and first info I got is that - the ending in the novel originally is sad/ open to interpretation... but then the author wrote few extra chapters where they get together after 1000 years. lol

I think it's because He Na slowed it down and not sure if they gave something special back at the Aquatic World... I kinda forgot lol..

I thought that misunderstanding is quite...stupid lol. But then again.. if you think about it, there's a lot of things that added up to this misunderstanding.. Main thing being ML not being completely honest with FL. FL started doubting him even before that misunderstanding .. thinking to herself " is he hiding something from me?". She knows in her heart there are a lot of things he didn't tell her. Then, let's rewind things back a bit... When did he appear as Lu Li in her life? That night when she got her powers. He has been around ever since and he has been talking about that sword a lot. Bai Feng is constantly filling her head with doubts, but the reason for her doubts and misunderstanding is because there is some small amount of truth to what Bai Feng said. He did approach her originally with dishonest intentions and FL has no idea who he is or was before they recently got together, so she really can't be sure what to expect of him. More time, bonding and honesty is needed to overcome such doubts.

Well said, Heaven! He warned her nicely that FL is first and only to him, and he literally said : " Don't make me hate you". I guess Bai Feng failed to take that warning seriously enough, and shall pay for that mistake.

I think he can't undermine her (Bai Feng) too much, because he is supposed to protect her, as they both work for their Sifu ( technically they are supposed to be teammates, and if you remember , before he regarded them as something like a family, they used to be the most important people to him before he fell in love with FL) . He would be undermining his Sifu by being too harsh to her. She can also tell a lot of things to either Sifu or Marquis Wuyang and put Lu Li in a lot of trouble + don't forget they grew up together( meaning she must have done a lot of things for him up until now, and now is doing bad things just because she is pissed at FL for getting ML love, and he knows this). And I'm not sure if Sifu was even there at the scene you're describing, I think she just used some sort of illusion. I think ML was fair in deciding to let FL deal with her how she sees fit, but FL was too good to BF and let her off easily. I'm guessing they all expected BF to finally realize certain things and give up, but she's too deranged and delusional to do that.
