Oh I hear you! It's the main reason why I'm not overly crushed by the now non-existent Qiang Jin Jiu Live Action: they were going to replace one of the main couples (ML) with a FL...nope.
We've seen so many leaks now that we could pretty much paste the entire story together...Just let it out of the can, ya'll!

Remember that The Untamed shot an A and B script: A was per the novel and B was for the censors. It's ironic that Untamed is what kicked off the Censorshippalooza. That said, every cdrama that hints at BL since has followed that formula bc they absolutely know that they'll be up against the Board of Censors. Eternal Faith has been "in the can" and complete for a loooong time now...and has, I believe, even been edited per the Censors already.
MEANWHILE....MXTX decided to rewrite TGCF (and whoo boy am I THRILLED about that....I love her...but TGCF needed some editing/revisioning). And yeah...she took a lot of BL things out....and..kinda left some in and expanded them. I'm also hearing that there will be an uncensored rewrite for international audiences.....
She has also been a massive advocate for keeping her BLs as BLs...and every director and screenwriter she's worked with (even down to the music scorers) are about that it's a love story at it's heart. It's all about love.
We're all desperate for this to air....same for HYX/Immortality (I mean..come..XiXI is singing the theme song today...). AND...what, 100 Million purchases of the TGCF AD??? They all know there is money on the table to be made...globally. And there are contracts..and money already spent they want an ROI on.
So...the rumors fly...we try figure it all out.....and the rules with censorship are always changing.
But...I find it far more plausible that every single person involved from day one to day end knows how to play this game better than us....and knows how to film it and write it from the beginning.
Lastly....look at how loud Weibo is screaming for a Qiang Jin Jiu redo of the Manhua AND a live action told true to the story. And how loud they are screaming for the TGCF Audio Drama....and how loud they are screaming for Immortality/Hyx/Haoyinxing to air....
Eventually.....with so much money to be made and contracts to uphold...I think we'll get as close as we can with crazy censorship to the real deal.

Some Mango Youtube episodes either dropped the subtitles completely half way through or dropped them on the entire episode. Had to switch back over to Mango TV and cast....but the subtitles were tiny and below the screen (boxed border). It was kinda hard to read...guess it's my Roku\TCL tv???

I saw one extra at the of 27...but that was it. Watched it on Mango TV....I heard there was 30 episodes but Mango TV only showed 27 (there was a "28" but it was the exact same episode without the extra ending). Would anyone know where to watch the others?
