I don't nessarily think its a translation mistake. Often in speaking people round things up, she might have just wanted to exagerate she is now grown up and many years have passed.

Also comment on their IDs. I still think they are the same age. Wang He in beginning of ep literally said he is going to turn eighteen. Meaning he was 17 in 2007.
Plus the way they treat him, definitely is of a 17 year, he still needed his parent signature, when his teacher asked.

Just a random question, saw someone on twitter put a picture of Fenghua's and Wang He's ID.

On Wang He's ID it said 1988. On Fenghua's ID it said 1990.

That doesn't make sense, because in 2007 Senior Year. In episode 6, Wang He talked about how he is going to turn 18. Meaning he was 17 at time and year.
So the dates on the IDs don't match up. haha.
Anyone have an explanation or know how IDs work in China.

However I completely disagree with the villainization of my comment.

You have a right to your opinion.
But you are avoiding the cold read of the sentence. You are making it seem like my comment is so out of pocket, like I brought in a different subject matter from the actually topic. But that's not the case. The sentence literally said its a shame the drama is subtitled so slowly.
I am confused how you can not see how atleast there would be a misinterpretation of the person's actually intentions.

You are expecting everyone to read it exactly how you have decided to view it, but there would be different and multiple perspectives on that sentence.
People are not mind readers. We comment and we discuss to then understand people's actually intentions and that's simply it. No ill intentions.

Hi I didn't tell or expect the person to apologize, they decided to do that on their own. That was never my intention. I even said in my reply, no need to apologize at all. I just simply saw a comment that said its a shame that the drama is getting subtitled so slowly.
I simply wanted to give props to the subber, that it is hard work and at that the subs are actually coming out fast. I am not a mind reader. The person explained that was never their intention which I now understand. I wasn't trying to project anything.

No problem 🙂, awesome. Also they usually don't put eng subs immediately. It takes a day or 2, so just to inform you, just in case you get surprised if there isn't eng subs immediately.

There is English subs now put on Mango tv app. 🙂

I'm on episode 16. But have been reading comments too. This is a gritty drama, with imperfect characters, making tones of mistakes through life.
But in all of that I am hoping and can't wait to see when Wang He realises his wrongs and can't wait see him realize how dumb he was to not see what a gem Feng Hua is and pursue her.

I'm up to episode 14. But I have seen Grandma say that Wang He likes Siyi.
However, I would say there is no meaning to them. Wang He might have liked Siyi at first but feelings do change.
It's simply her Grandma trying to encourage and support her Grandchild. Ofcourse she will think her grandchild was the best. Irrespective of the actually reality of where Wang He feelings will go to.

The next subbed episode will be released whenever the subber is finished. The non subbed are released on Thursdays, only once a week.

It's ok to say you can't wait for the next episodes. Everyone says that, it shows one's excitement. Even sentence like I can't wait for the next episodes to be subbed, that's totally fine.
However, when putting in a sentence, subtitled so slowly. Ofcourse people might misread.

I don't know where you are watching your subs from, but if it's from the original subber, we should be grateful, subbing is not easy, it takes alot of work.
And the subs are actually coming quite quickly literally less than a week from broadcast, that is fast.

You have a right to your opinion but I disagree 😅. I think Feng Hua (FL, Bail Lu character) will end up with Wang He (ML)
Feng Hua and Wang He have a deeper connection. Wang He's crush on Si Yi really symbolizes his youth. More of an immature crush, based on cliche standards. Which I think every youth goes through that phase. But I don't think his romantic feelings for Siyi will stay.
I think he will realise his feelings for Feng Hua and how much of a support she was in his life.

I haven't gotten to ep 20. But in Episode 1 they were talking about 2000. Then episode 2 when they transitioned to their senior year in highschool they said 2007.

I thought the first episode started 2000. Then 2007 was their senior year in highschool 🙂

I think Monday to Sunday schedule is for non VIP. I am watching through iqiyi youtube channel, non vip. They are releasing an episode a day. They released an episodes this weekend too. Ofcourse episodes are behind (up to ep 14) but it is still one episode everyday. So I think that is what the confusion is between vip and non vip schedule.
