Everything now just clicked to me π even though someone has already explained. The statement in ep 1 is quite straightforward and not a forshadowing haha the person is correct and I believe you are also correct of identity of Grandma in ep1
Grandma in beginning of ep 1 is Neice of FL. So FL's Father is Neice's Grandfather. Since FL Father is also Neices Father's Father, therefore Neice's Grandfather So basically the statement is talking about how FL's Father (Neices Grandfather was waiting for the Neice's Aunt (his daughter) but then he simply didn't get to see her before he passed as she was away in Germany and hid his sickness. Why did that fly over my head. When one has watched too much complicated plot haha π
Ok I see they seem to be trying to keep her a mystery. For a second I was like is the Grandma the FL older, the way they transitioned from Grandma's voice to FL's voice. Also I don't know what year we are in first 5 minutes of ep1. However we know FL is in 1939. Don't know her age but she could be atleast 22 in 1939. So if first 5 minute is even 1980s. It's still possible Grandma could be FL. However that's just a theory haha.Yeah still also suspicious if Grandma is neice of FL because FL did go to Germany to study. I guess we have to wait and see. Glad that the chemistry is good between the main leads. Even from trailer chemistry seemed good. Yes I love the styling of old Hong Kong movies. Looking forward to watching the episodes.
Haha exactly, I was like did they just tell me the ending. I was like what is the point. Yes I will continue to see how everything goes. Hoping for a happy ending for main leads atleast. I still think there is some sort of mystery, only watched first 10 minute ep 1. But have they shown the Grandma's face?
I've finished episode 3. But reading people's comments in making me discouraged. I love friendship dramas and friends to lovers dramas but if the FL is so entitled and not likable it makes me not so excited. Also does anyone have any theories on why ML is so opposed to love?
In the beginning of the novel Mudan is 19, JCY is in his mid-20s, I think. I just started reading it.
That makes sense, so there were only one year apart in book. Also on twitter person said in drama when Mudan was signing a contract her age was written 21 years old.

Wow very vastly different. Yeah her age is definitely different. Even plot of her getting sick and dying! very different. Screen writer of drama really cleaned up everything and made it better.
The miscomm was terrible and poor writing and justifies the lower score. Most of what happened with the relationship…
You have a right to your opinion. However, the drama is still a high quality drama. I prefer dramas without miscommunications. However, there are dramas that have plenty of miscommunication. There are dramas where the whole plot is even based on a lie and miscommunication. So I don't understanding why people are acting like In the name blossom is the only one that has used miscommunication and therefore should be punished for it. There are still plenty of wonderful qualities about this drama.

Thank you for your reply. Ok so the person on twitter may not be talking the book. Unless in calculation from book the person is saying it's been maybe two years from from beginning (first episode) therefore she 21 now. Which also makes sense. Since her marriage maybe lasted a year, then with all that has happend with her running away, working sheng yi's husband and then starting her business, another year or 2. So she might be 21 or even 22. It seems they made JCY younger from books as mudan said he is just bit older.
I saw someone on twitter say Mudan is 21 years old and ofcourse we know the JCY is just a little bit older than Mudan as mentioned in season 1. Was it in Season 2 or the book thay they mentioned Mudan is 21. As I havenβt seen it yet in season 2.
My heart is acheing after watching episode 6. Sheng Yi's brother needs to sit down and leave the main leads alone.
I am so glad I have watched spoilers and saw it get's resolved. The main leads bond is too strong for them not to just talk it out.
Even though I hate the miscommunication and would rather it not be there, these moments really show the longing the main leads have for each other. You can see how desperately they want to be with each other. Even in these heart wrenching moments, it really extra emphasizes how much they have fallen for each other.
One thing I like Flourished Peony/In the name of blossom is seeing two people who didn't have romance in their life cards. Who were very non romantic goal centered just fully find themselves longing for someone romantically. It's the sweetest and most heartacheing thing to see. Mudan normally doesn't even have romance on her mind and now she is like this πππ.
Even though their not together romantically yet. I am enjoying every interaction they have, and love their closeness.
Only 2 episodes in season, we can't draw conclusions. From trailer so much is going to happen. Let a story pan…
No worries at all π. Exactly this drama is slow burn, with the threads being tied one by one but those threads eventually lead to a catalyst and pivitol moments.
