I like the ZSC from drama. The ZSC in the novel seems too unreal to me. A chemistry professor who has spent most of his time doing research in Germany, and then came back home, all of sudden had to take control over family business, of course he is inexperienced , helpless, and unsure, and also powerless too as portrayed in drama during the elder meeting. Who would hand over the business to another person , give up their money, position and power voluntarily all of sudden, the uncle, his allies of course are in control… so it makes his character more real compared to the novel. As his friend Mei Xing also said: compared to him, his younger brother is more suitable than him in doing business. I think the writer may have changed his character a little bit because I have no doubt in Ren Jia Luan portraying aloof, cold, assertive person. It may be the writer intention or director’s to give his character some freshness…

Reading the spoiler does not necessarily mean you understand the feeling, the emotion and the love they have for each other, and the why they deserve their second chance!! I would totally recommend to watch the prequel first.
I am wondering why did they choose MayBach out of any car in the market, so in my opinion, Maybach is for royalty, leader but it doesn’t really scream for attention due to its design( ugly like you said hahaha,😂 which fits ZSC personality perfectly lolzzz
