I have to clarify about Allen’s kissing/ no kiss policy. He did real kiss scenes in Tang Dynasty; however upon finishing the Tang Dynasty, there was an incident during filming process, he developed lung medical conditions. Therefore, after that, there was no kiss. His conditions didn’t get better up to today as you can see in his recent interview, he said if he rest, he wouldn’t cough. To answer if people care or hate when he is married, After Tang Dynasty, he started to get recognized and gained lots of fans; before that, he was just a nugu. However, he made a bold decision to announce his marriage, and then later announced he has a kid. I would say thousands of fans left him. But there were also fans decided to stay with him for his respect to his family and being transparent to his fans. Then after Under the Power, he gained thousands of fans again due to his spectacular performance. I think an actor should prove his worth thru his works, and Allen Ren is such a kind. Because of that, he is the one I would totally support. Kiss or no kiss, I wouldn’t mind, as I really like him both as a person and as an actor.

I know it’s very frustrating, it’s even unfair to compared those two dramas which broadcasted on TV and were just the start the trend of drama adaptation. But in the eyes of capitalism, everything is all about money at the end.
So based on rumor( 🍉) “One and Only” does not live up to anticipated expectation from film investors in term of money making. They invested a lot but the profit gained is insignificant, compared to other two dramas that MBFB is a screen writer. So to fans of Bai Lu and Allen, or anyone who thinks this drama deserves better buzz and recognition, please support them by only watching on Iqiyi or wetv.
