The same thing happens with Flying without Disturb. The female lead's character may be popular two years ago,…
oh...Wow i forgot about this one....the marketing for it has been so terrible even on Chinese social media i haven't seen one peep of it....not even complaints.
On Douban there's literally only 10 or so comments ....that's so crazy. Li Hongyi is at least a C-lister. The rumors of him being blackballed might be true after all
This drama is exactly what happens when dramas are kept in the vault for years and by the time they are released, the themes are very irrelevant and intolerable.
The source novel of this was written a bajillion years ago when female torture and 'forced love' was hot...maybe if it was released 2 years back it would have worked out but in the current climate.....this tortured misunderstanding love really isn't it.
I blame Youku quite honestly. They know the industry has trends but they still act arbitrarily and release whatever, whenever.
Hioki is so freaking cuute lmao...also I think it's Hioki's introvert nature attracts him..and also it's v close…
that's the thing though.....even when people say or think its for no reason...there usually is one....sometimes not a direct one but one nonetheless; trauma, they remind you of something you like, past relationships making you.want the exact opposite...something.
Here...nothing.
Maybe some people somewhere like people for no reason but I've never seen.it i guess and i find it odd especially in a drama where they decide two people will fall in lobe just because.. seems like a cop out....but that's just me. Not a big deal though...maybe its just not for me.
And Hioki...cute? I donno....he tends to act like he thinks of himself as burdensome and i actually agree....he's exhausting.
What's with the rating? I thought it would be higher. I just finished it and the fight scenes were great. I like…
You know MDL .....if the boy and girl aren't shoving their tongues down each other's throat every 2 episodes and fighting for their forbidden love (the forbidden aspect being the fact that his cousin's barber's maid's chauffeur's barrister once kissed her uncle's grandpa) while simultaneously going through 12 tribulations for no reason and dry humping every Thursday for some reason......it's probably gonna be a very low rating.
Wow....i want to like this but i can't for the life of me justify the ml liking Hioki...he's so....bland .....i CAN'T root for them. I know a lot of such shows which claim the hot guy likes the not so famous or hot guy for no reason but usually i find even the tinsiest bit of reason....it doesn't even have to be a GOOD reason...just one.
Peng Xiao Ran about Gong Jun during #BloodRiver filming“We have a lot of night scenes and everyday someone would…
And his English has gotten sooo good...long its so evident on his variety shows.....I remember when he could barely speak...tripping over his words but now he can make legit small talk with foreigners ....such an inspiration🥹🥹
Girl same. I'm going through major withdrawals and I'm forcing myself not to rewatch at any given moment...but i find myself thinking of Bai Hehua literally snatching the basket of vegetables to stop him from cooking🥹🥹
I'm rewatching and SMY shows up as the inner demon for the archer guy and BHH. I wish they wouldve elaborated…
inner demon (心魔 - xīn mó) is a psychological or spiritual blockage, a profound internal conflict that prevents someone from reaching their full potential. Kinda like...trauma.
For the arrow guy, his character's entire identity was kinda built on his strength. His crushing defeat by Su Muyu shattered that identity. He can't move past the loss. He constantly replays the defeat in his mind, obsesses over the Su Muyu's strength (i remember a scene where he said he would work hard to prove he wasn't beneath Su Muyu) and that desire for revenge and simply to prove himself consumes him.
This means every time he tries to break through to a higher level, the memory of his defeat surfaces and ruins his concentration. That time when Su Muyu defeated him has become...his trigger ....so inthat array where you 'demons' appear...Su Muyu is his; he is the living embodiment of the guy's failure. So he had to either healthily accept the defeat, find a new purpose, or win against Su Muyu....else he will always be his inner demon.
For Bai Heihua....Su Muyu was a different demon......he is her "Heart Demon" (情魔)
From the many cultivation books I've read, its a general notion that attachments to worldly desires....especially romantic love...can be a major obstacle to reaching the highest levels of power, which often require a clear and detached heart.
That scene was basically telling us that Bai Hehua's feelings for Muyu are so strong that they cloud her judgment and disrupt her inner peace and in turn her advancement and growth.
She had to overcome that....overcoming this doesn't necessarily mean she stops loving him; it means she must achieve a state of peace with her feelings, whether that means letting go or loving him without obsession.
That's how i interpreted it atleast. The inner demon and with deviation is a very common issue in these cultivation things lol.
Gong Jun has one of the most perveted fangroups out there....no wonder he's always rewarding them by taking of his shirt...even in face to face events.
Never thought i could be shocked by comment sections till now...I'm shaken😭😭😭
Anyway for the sake of my peace and my grades...I've deleted the drama from my laptop😭😭😭😭😭
Guys.....theres news. Averaging the data across 5 consultant agencies show that Blood River and Whispers of Fate won the clash among the 4 hyped costume dramas.
This with Youku being the smallest of the companies, the genre being the least mainstream among the airing dramas and with the least promotion among the four.
Also despite it having finished airing...its still ranked first on Web dramas in china.
It's a hit drama in China, broke 10k heat index in Youku. The market share surpassed the other two on-airing Xianxia…
Interesting..... i think there's too many different data sellers over there cause from the data i saw...when this was airing it hit 11% , 13% on yunhe and was exchanging the lead with SAB....Luo Yunxi's drama was ALWAYS beneath it. Now that this has ended and SAB is also over is when i saw Luo Yunxi's drama overtake otherwise in terms of views, popularity, ratings, Maoyan even Yunhe the fraud data....this was frequently at the top during the airing time.
So which of the numerous data aggregators should we believe lol

So sad for PXR my love.
The Douban rating is 4.8 too

IMDB is where you go for better accuracy.🥺🥺
