It has happened to Cheng Yi....its currently happening. I was giving you a real life example. Curreny...his fans are raising hell cause for Sword and Beloved, his currently airing drama....he appeared well until episode 18 then from then he is apparently getting 5minutes screentime.

Pictures have circulated online of him sitting in a corner while filming was going on and it has been revealed that the director would have him go to the site, get makeup on then leave him to stay there until night without filming anything cause he refused to film something's the director wanted. Apparently the director wanted to change the script and Cheng Yi refused so he went through all that ..despite being Cheng Yi...despite have rabid fans.

So honestly....the industry is tough...cause as fierce as fans can be..they are behind the screen. In face of real power and money there isn't much they can do

Also...rumor has it Li Hongyi is current being frozen out and lowkey blacklisted...his fans haven't heard a peep from him all year...he's been barely attending any shows, red carpet events or even brand events....he basically disappeared.....Even his dramas which where speculated to air soon have been real quiet too....its not a good sign for him or the drama.

The story might be ready but the production is all over the place since the other actors are apparently all booked too and there's scheduling conflicts.

Of the threenongoing series...allbof them by A listers....it came out on top and is topping all the data chats except Yunhe the corrupt one lol. They even increased the price of their ads by 40%last i checked...every brand wanted their ads on the show. Byblast week they were running almost 120 ads per episode.

Also the producers have said it has performed far above their expectations and it has made more than was invested.

Also ....high Douban rating...even a 9.5 rating on another platform...all this while Youku is the smallest of the 3 competing platforms and with the least promotion since Gong Jun the ml isn't affiliated with a big company and is mostly independent.

The success is mostly due to word of mouth and its growing day by day....also has the highest weibo index and has already entered top 10 of Youku's annual dramas.....that means competing with every single drama Youku has released this year...its already number 10 despite being released on October.

Yah...definitely...i too would milk it till everyone is sick of my name lol...The man is securing his income for 5years after...maybe 2030lol....but it all depends on how he plays it. The cast of Blood River is much more famous and more commercially attractive than that of BOY....so if he manages to secure them back...especially Gong Jun ...it might go a lot faster in terms of investment.

The problem is Gong Jun is at that stage where he rarely accepts scripts and since he's currently filming how and has a variety show to film too and 2 unreleased dramas.....he will probably stop all his work for a year or two.

But if he can get them all back....pretend they are just really hot middle aged people...it might work. He's focusing so much on this now cause BOY 2 seems to be hitting snags

It has caused a lot of discussion for sure...but trust me.. the author will NOT be letting go of this opportunity. He's already established Blood River as a series separate from Blood Of Youth and since the show is doing well in China..and is considered a hit....he will milk it for all it worth.

The author announced that he is currently writing the second part so a part 2 will definitely be there....the cast though.....i doubt Gong Jun would be coming back. The other cast too might want new roles.
