I was just rewatching this and for anyone whose watched to ep. 6 so far, La Ong Dao has a really cute nightgown and robe. It's the scene where she stays overnight at the Queen's palace when she is sick. I immediately began to figure out how I could make one of them.
Okay, I've watched this over and over again and it is still quite charming. I think it's the period atmosphere. The story is so-so (quarreling "adoptive" siblings fall in love) but you can just see Korakot fall more and more deeply in love until he thinks he's lost all his chances. Side characters are quite funny as well - I'd love to know who plays Padachamai's mother! She's so funny!
Here's the summaryEveryone yearns for a good life. So does Nueng. She always dreams of living in her ideal world.…
This reminds of another, slightly older lakorn, about a woman who “marries” (I think they mean she’s a girlfriend, fiancé and married wife) seven times. I don’t mind unless she’s horrible to them!
Very interesting - like peeking behind the scenes of a play. I have very lax language skills so I admire those who use their skills so regularly. I don't mean this to stress you but my absolute favorite subtitles include subbing headlines or signs or items the actors are using (names on phone contact lists, etc.) - but I also think those shows must just be killers to work on! Thanks and good luck at uni this year!
Loved this series!! Full of emotions!!! Surprisingly Good for young main casts!! Highly recommended!! ❤️❤️
It is surprising - this is like a starter c-drama. Low budget scenery, bit iffy special effects, young actors - it could be horrible. Instead, they are really making a story out of it! And not a "wink, wink, sarcastic" way (like 'Go Princess Go" not that I didn't laugh a lot at that drama!) but a scripted, adventuresome storyline. It's been a while since I watched five episodes of a show in one day.
And if any lakorn out there deserves subtitling, this one is it. The plot, the characters, the emotional growth, the music - these are all there and accessible even without subtitles. It's not a happy plot but it is a lovely one.
Okay, does anyone know who plays Wasin's mother? I've seen her here and there but I don't know her name. She's a very accomplished older "mom" actor so I'm assuming she's been around since she was a leading lady! And her mother character here is great.
Oh, Zhan Feng (in The Flame's Daughter - 2018) played by Zhang Vin is really just a jerk - it's Lai Yi as An Ye Luo who is really the horrible villain. I thought he did crazy evil very well!
