Irene, Reporting for duty!

There was an episode where Mei Xing is staying at the compund and WenXing, Lian Suu, and the mother's companion go visit him. Tbey start asking him about girlfriend and he says something like the woman qho could march this rhythm poem/tune would be his ideal woman. The sister says i dont think ZSC can match this. ZSX opens it with Shi Yi there and she does it perfectly and ZSC sends it back and makes a note that Shi Yi was the one who did it. ZSC didnt know the origianl intent - he thought ut was a nirmal game but it changed bc Shi Yi was the one to answer.
Later episode Wen Xing childishly tells ShiYi about it and that it was Mei Xings requiremtn for a woman he would want to be with. He cuts Wen Xing off as she was saying this but i believe Shi Yi pieced it together.

WenXing wanted ZSC to fear for Shi Yi and take her away from the family. She wanted him to leave the famiky un the name if prootecting Shi Yi. She didnt know that Shi Yi didnt kniw how to swim.
Wen Chuan faked her test results - i think to show she had more time than she really did to have the surgery. Her conditiin turned out to be worse but it was too late and she was too weak. I thinj he wanted everyone distracted with her at home so that no one would contunue tondig inti his business wrongdoings.
Shi Yi found out about the oarental situation in eoisode 24 or 25 but she does find out.

I still haven't gathered all my thoughts on the subject but I think there's something here about how ZSC needs to put Shi Yi first instead of the rest of the world/ his family. As a general he kept leaving Shi Yi behind and took care if his responsibilities first, even let her go off and marry crown prince. I think maybe this was a failing of his in One and Only and was a lesson he needed to be reminded of. I think Wng Xing and others like Mei Xing tell him/give him permission to leave his family mess behind and take care of his woman. I'm still thinking this through so it's possible I might have this wrong or forgot some stuff, etc.

ZSC grief gutted me!! His and Ren's were what made me cry. I was sad when she passed but didnt feel tears. When i saw these two people trying to handle their grief - omg the water works would not turn off.

It's more like our fml, gets her under control. And third sister falls in line and starts to go to 4th sister for advice - she still tries to get her scheme on but not so much at the expense if the family anymore bc she knows 4th sister has her number. The only one who watches out for 3rd sister is the husband who is an idiot - I kind of want think of him as a bumbling likeable idiot.

No doubt. He was an idiot who was blinded but what he thought his dream woman should be. That woman was a leech.

Yeah, Mei Xing is a good guy in this lifetime. He recognizes his feelings for Shi Yi but does nothing but admire her.
I think Wenxing is thenprinxess that was in love with the prince and i think h3 iehter realizes henhas feelings fornher or starts yo have deelings goe her.
When shes dying i think there is promise to look for eachother in their next life. I think. Its all so fuzzy cause its been a while.

Yes, Allen and Bai Lu are doing a fantastic job (imo) and I think ZSCs lack of human connection has led to this sweet awkwardness. Shi Yi is slowly breaking him out and they're so sweet together. I love ZSRens connection to Shi Yi and how he has found a family with SY and ZSC and a friend with YuanYuan who is so cute.
MeiXing is awesome and I feel bad that he couldn't be with a woman he finds just as fascinating as SY.

It's been a while since I read the book but wasn't the guy a cop investigating ZSC?

Its more of a sense of knowjng and feeling somethings wrong - not that he knew Shi Yi got married. Or that it was the girl he saw in Xi An got married. It was just maybe an instictive feeling of sadness or anger that came across him without knowing why he feels this way. There was a French movie called La Double Vie De Veronique. In it 2 girls who were spitting images of eachother living in different parts of Europe and are not related- one girl dies during a concert when she's signing At the time of her death, the other girl starts crying - she didnt kniw the girl and had never seen her but her spirit felt incredivly sad and she didnt know why. Then the girl who was alive quit singing herself becauee she had an intuitive knowledge that it was bad for her. The feeeling i got was that she would have died like the 1st girl for the same reason. They dont explain how theyre connected and they were not twins split at birth, they were just connected. It was french so i just go with it😉 if you see this movie - just know that its french and rated R for a reason and its from the 90s.

ZSC says that her sister got married to his uncle in epi 13 orn14. I think this led to the breakup and then the sister died so TJ could marry into the nfamily again but ZsC was not interested in her so she settled for marrying the brother.
I think and im probably wrong but i think some families have problems from having multiple family memebers marry inti thensame family.

Damn BL and XK were scorching hot and Im not saying this just because her character set a forest ablaze as their backdrop for their kissing scene in epi 31 or 32.

I still come across the scene on YT from time to time - the bts and the episode vid and i stop every time to marvel at that kiss.
