Is he looking for the fruit Shi Yi asked for in her drunken dreams? Too adorble.

I was thinking it was like he felt something wrong and was upset and angry. Not conscious knowledge but like his heart knew ir his soul knew that Shi Yi had bound herself to ZSC. At least my inner romantic angsty teen inside me thought or wished this.😅

There were so many cute moments in epi 13 and 14. Loved it when ZSC is hurrying uo Mei Xing and tells him yo stop posing 🤣

I believe in yhe book it is explained that she remembered the past especially that she had to find "him". Over the years she'd forgotten the details of things except him.. she recognizes him by his beautiful bones - his name just captured her attention enough to really look at him.
In the book its also said rhat she wants to start remebering her past and so trys to remember and write it down. As Anlly said censorship in China prohibits outright stories in past lives but if you read between the lines, i think you can see the clues.

I may have to reread it but i think Bai Lu comes across as an elegant, modern day, working, independent woman who is very stylish without coming across as pretentious. It feels ok ti have the strong personality she has becauee she needs it in order to break thru ZSCs bubble. Her brightness or shine is strong and draws his attention in a way that Tan Jiaren.
Is it possible its a response to her looks /facial features and expressions not being delicate enough?
At the end if the day its all subjective :)
We all have different expectations and interpret things differently.
As you can see Im a fan if Bai Lu in this role - i dont think shes the most beautiful or delicate - though i do think she is beautiful and delicate and yet qith an inner strength that i take to come from her past life experience.

So, in the book Shi Yi at a certain point wants to try to remeber and write down what happened in their past life, right?
In episode 14, shes heafing back to China and reading - is what she is reading the stuff she's written herself from her memories?
She said it was some printed pages and not a book or anything in epsidoe 13

I feel bad for him - the one girl he's been thinking about is the one with his best friend. He did a great job of portraying the angst in epi 13. Especially because Shi Yi is so wrapped up in ZsC that she dismisses Mei Xing so quickly. When hes done with lunch and walks away - he turns back tonlook at her and see her so focused and playful with ZsC - poor guy.
Im a sicker foe thisnkind of angst and yearning.
The fanciful in me thought his drunkenness from that previous epi might have been a cosmic/internal knowledge that Shi Yi was now comoletely linked qith ZSC and thats why he was angry/ upset. Becauese it was the day they hot married or the day after, right?

Omg! Yes! Their outfits were painful to my eyes!

I think they should have added Bai Lu to the list.

Some miscasting or is it just me?
2nd brother and fashion seamstress - they are dressed like they're just rebellious teens and they act and talk like it too. I think he's supposed to be 19 but they could have aged him up to like 25 or so to give him more believabilty and a little maturity-not a lot cause they still need to be impetuous enough to make the mistakes they do. The same for the young woman - she's in line to head up the fashion house but she dresses all in black all the time with leather vest jackets and a beret. Seriously? If you're in fashion and young won't you experiment with different styles or change it up every once and a while? It seems like Everytime we see her she's in the same outfit with the same shoes and hat or it's almost identical.
There is no sense of true intelligence or genius to them. Who would let these kids run anything.
Sorry. I'm up to epi 8 and they and the 2nd brother's wife (who wears the same outfit style) are taking me out of really falling for this drama.
I'll continue to ignore because I want to see ZSc and SYs happy ending.

Not sure but Mei Xing is the crown prince slash emperor who also develops feelings for Shi Yi in modern day but nothing happens cause she and ZSC are committed to each other.
She has Mei Xing and Director Wang crushing on her and he has his sister in law crushing on him but he never reciprocated and let her know. No love triangles here but definitely family plotting.

Definitely concur! Im sorry but her outfits in LIS all kind of dwarfed her frame and were not flattering. It made her look like she was playing dress up sometimes.

You may already have watched the subbed version or hear from someone else but just in case you didn't. A couple if years pass after father's faked death and 2nd son senda Yao dizhu a letter telling her all that was going on in his town and with his family staying with Hime and says that she'll be able to joint him soon. So they're still together.

It's definitely Su Xiao. The other woman left town. He broke off whatever he had with the other woman and she left town. She and He know that he is still in love with Su Xiao. Su Xiao is the woman he loves, she's the woman struggling to make right his complicated mess, she's the one being reprimanded by her supervisor for dragging her feet and he knows this. He knows that she's dragging her feet for him and the people she knows will be displaced if the land is revealed. If she reveals his plans then the people lose and if she lets him get away with it then she compromises herself and her ideals. He loves her and is struggling with the guilt of using her to get what he wants- the land and freedom from the parent company.
The episodes focus was just on the divestiture and her struggles. He went out drinkin with the loan shark who could buy the company but doesn't want it.and came back drunk -his thoughts are centered in this area when he gets back to his home. Su Xiao was in that meeting before he goes drinking with the loan guy which is where her boss calls her out and he's still struggling with that when he gets home.

If you watch it, watch it soon. Someone said IQ makes the episodes available for free for 1 month after they finish airing and then they lock them back up for VIP. I noticed this with Someone Like You - it finished airing in late June or early July but they only have the first 5 episodes available for free.

Wow! Good for her! It sucks bc she's kind of stuck there, right? She may not be his favored anymore but can he send her back home?

So 2nd young madam gives birth to her son and then has him taken away so that he doesnt grow up with so much hatred like the man she loves. She ends up dying in epi 41. I dont know why cause it hasnt been translated yet.

I watched the raw veraion so im not 100% sure. J think it was a plot all along to reveal the enemies plotting. In the end Sun comes back as the other minister is with the emoeror and they take the other guy away.
