I thought that they did the whole pan to a candle or flame thing - maybe I'm wrong but I thought in cdrama when they pan to a candle or a flame I thought it meant they were having sex or something like that.

I'm thinking this will end unhappily. Now that Lu Anran has married and has slept with My Ze (that's the impression I got from today's episode epi 24) I can't see her getting together with Mu Chuan - given the historical period.
I think Mu Chuan will still end up dying once he realizes his mistake and fights MuZe. Mu Chuan is a beta male - he is a good man but doesn't have the ruthless instinct that Mu Ze has. Lu Anran may end up dying as well but I think she'll take Mu Ze with her.
And maybe she wakes up again and heads straight to Mu Chuan and marries him and gives her shipping business to the emperor before Mu Ze sets his sights on her.

Yeah. I'm having a hard time too. They don't seem to understand the gender pronouns and or the use of you, I, me, etc.

I'm thinking Blue Orchid is the calling card of an assassin or the person who send the assassin.

Is it possible the assistant is still alive and living the good life or have I watched and read too many mystery novels with cheesy ending revelations? The fact that she let the FL see her ankle tattoo and had plastic surgery is highly suspect.

I've never read the book but I can see the broad strokes of the story here.
The news reporter sister is Jo. She is forced to have lunch with her rich aunt periodically similar to jo. The aunt has a neighbor who has a handsome grandson who has a crush on her.
The Accountant sister is the, Beth, eldest one who was a teacher in the original (I think). In this story she seems to take controlling lead of the story. Her romantic interest is working with her to solve the mystery. In the original, they were both teachers, I think. I don't see too many similarities on her character to Beth.
Amy is played by the youngest. The only similarity I see is her being the youngest and being an artist. It seems that thru her school she has been exposed to the more refined things in life. In the original, Amy is the one to go on a tour of Europe with the aunt and falls for Laurie, the handsome neighbor next door who had a crush on her sister. In the original Laurie comes back from Europe in love with Amy. Not sure if this will be incorporated into the story.

I just finished watching an awesome fan video and someone said that they dont end up together. He rejects her because he still has feelinga for his ex-girlfriend and she starts dating someone else.

Couple of thoughts about reincarnations of 3 characters
zSC IS ZSC- in his past life he put the nation above all else, even above Shiyi. That seemed to be his regret in the last letter he wrote her in OaO. In FaE he starts to do the same again but in the end he learns his lesson and leaves the family to care for Shi Yi.
In OaO Shiyi is passive and keeps herself in control most of her life not being selfish and not voicing her feelings and going with what others decide for her. In FaE Shi Yi is an independent woman who makes her own decisions and has learned in this life to grab love when it's in front of her. She doesn't stop from introducing herself in the airport or initiating more into building their relationship - she takes charge.
In OaO, the crown prince who had a love at first sight of picture of Shiyi, was to marry Shiyi, is obsessed with her, and uses any means necessary to get her. In FaE, Mei Xing seems to have learned to let it go. He seemed to fall for her at first sight again but he seems to have learned his lesson and let's his crush/love of Shiyi go with no interference from him and even tries to remain a loyal to ZSC while serving him as his lawyer - his repayment of his debt. Given his son against ZsC it may take his lifetime to repay it.☺️
Still processing the drama. Will rewatch for other characters and see what and if other reincarnations are addressed.

Yeah, totally refreshing to see that i was wrong every time there was an opening for misunderstanding and or a separation. There was also no extrwmely long pauses as the misunderstood party trues to explain. Cant tell you how exhausting it is to see the long pause so that the other person takes jt as guilt and gets upset and leaves.
So great to not see that here.

The only ones i think i know is the Prince and the Princess that was in love with him. Mei Xing and WenXing.

Yeah, me too. Brotherly love only. I kind if think they needed more episodes to take care of the side stories. I think the main romance was serviced well but the other storylines were not. This took away from their emotional impact - to me atleast.

Nope. The pair are always together and true to each other. There are others interested in them but never do either like, or pretend to like, or even give them a thought.

Yeah, I feel one of the writings failings is that there were a lot of things that happened off screen that should have been included. This is one and the whole thing with Tong Jiaren when she pushed the pregnant woman who we never saw again and other moments that I can't remember. It's possible that it was in the book that way but it doesn't work for the drama.

Also didn't it feel like in the drama he flipped so quickly to deciding that he loved WenXing? He care for and took care of her but it didn't feel romantic until he tells his dad he's been searching for something that was next to him all along. I don't recall that moment when he's surprised at an attraction to WenXing or the moment of surprised on his face when he realizes he's in love with WenXing.

Yes, I agree - that truth is better when it is realized and recognized as truth cause it's so painful to realize everything they went thru in their past life. That's a beautiful line - makes everyone know that no matter what happened he's grateful for her.i think the writers tried to give us something like that with what he wrote on the wedding invitation. So good. Will def rewatch both

Anyhoo when Wen xing says all this to SY just when WEn Xing gets cut off, SY gives Mei Xing a look. I think it was surprise at her understanding that he(MeiXing) likes her(SY)

Damn im crying all over again 😭 Yep ZSCs and Rens pain at the loss broke my heart. Then again in 28. So glad they got married otherwise the family might have cut him off completely and he wouldnt have had any rights. What a great show.

Completely agree. It was not perfect but i loved it. Even without the kissing, the chemistry between our leads was great and the romance was beautiful. The little things she did to make this man happy and the little things he did to make her happy. It truly felt like these 2 charactes were two halves of a whole.
They were not kidding when they said that FAE was ZSC's turn to cry. Wow!
